Hello everyone!
Restarting our Baon Ideas series, this time for the new school year that has just started. I will endeavor to post every Tuesday, school snack ideas for your gradeschooler and pre-schooler. From time to time I will try to post some lunch meals too!
Posting baon ideas for almost 10 yrs
If you are new to our website, you can check out our Baon Ideas section where I have posted dozens upon dozens of baon ideas through the years. I hope these could help in your daily chore of preparing yummy and nutritious snacks for your kids.
I am not claiming that all baon ideas are A1 healthy and nutritious because some have unavoidable convenience (processed) foods on them, but I honestly try my best to shove in some healthy and wholesome snacks to tide them over until its dismissal time! Thank you and hope to see you here every week!
School baon and lunchbox ideas for Sept 2023
1. Chicken Franks and Egg Gimbap and Ripe Banana – I just fry some chicken Franks, half it lengthwise, and then scramble some eggs, put it on top of white rice, drizzle some japanese mayonnaise and wrap with a nori sheet. I add some bananas to make it a complete meal!
2. French Toast with Syrup, Sausages, Scrambled Egg and Orange wedges _ Making french toast early in the morning is not complicated at all. Besides it helps you use up all sliced bread that would soon expire! Don’t forget to drizzle some powdered sugar before covering the lid for that added yumminess!
3. Cheese buns, Mochi, Greek Yogurt, Alphabet Chicken Nuggets and Rice balls. Loaded baon for a loaded day in school! Sorry about the convenience foods in here but these all make my little ones happy. The Mochi from Regent is interesting because one big pack of about Php80.00 come with various flavors. It is a happy addition to any baon, promise!
4. Ham and Egg Sandwich, Waffle, Mini-Corndog, and Sweet Treat. I call this a fragment baon because it is all from loose ends and left overs. I made some waffles the other day, and then I tried cooking some mini corndogs from scratch so there. At least I got a good baon for the kiddos.
5. Sweet Corn and Steamed Sweet Potatoes. This is such a healthy baon that my girls really love. They like orange sweet potatoes, and they like sweet corn on the cob too. So I packed them some and called it a good lunchbox day 🙂
So that’s it see you guys again next week! I hope you got some ideas from the lunchbox contents that I presented.
Food for the soul
At this point, Allow me to share with you one of my favorite bible passages, this time from the Book Of Deuteronomy:
"There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore I command you to be openhanded toward your fellow Israelites who are poor and needy in your land." (Deuteronomy 15:11)
Thank you for stopping by and till next post!
