The Christmas Season may have passed, and ordinary days may be here again but there’s no reason to stop being generous, light-hearted, and joyful. We can always, always stay happy and hopeful, with faith anchored in the God whose love is so powerful and whose grace is sufficient to sustain us not just in 2026 but all our lives long.
Let us remain committed to knowing Him more and deepening our relationship with Him through studying and reflecting on His words, worshipping, and seeking Him alongside other fellow believers. Let us live this new year with hope, strengthened by His promises and confident of His faithfulness.
“You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” Psalm 16:11
And as we carry on with the Christmas spirit in our hearts, may we be strong enough to resist going back to old ways that have trapped us into a sin cycle. Like the three wise men who chose a different path after encountering Jesus, may we also be moved to avoid roads that lead us away from following the Lord.
“As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance, but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.” 1 Peter 1:14-16
Thank you for reading through our devotional today. I invite you to ponder on Mark 10:28-31 to dig deeper on today’s topic.
Reflection Question: How can you stay happy and generous, filled with the joyful Christmas all year through? How do you plan to better know the Lord this 2026?
Conversation with the Lord: Heavenly Father, thank you that you remain faithful to us in all the seasons of our lives. Help us remain joyous and confident of your love and grace as we start the New Year. Amen.
