Today, may we have the resolve to carve out time for the ONE who truly wants to spend precious moments with us. To spend time with the one who will happily give us His undivided attention.
To the One truly and patiently waiting to hear from us, and who ALONE is FULLY CAPABLE of giving us guidance, wisdom, and strength that will lead us to true peace, genuine joy, security, and contentment.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” Matthew 11:28-29
Let us take the time to seek Him in silence and solitude today and everyday. Just like Jesus, may we find value in intentionally setting time to commune with the Father for guidance, fellowship, and comfort. Because in reality, we truly win inevitable life battles not with the physical strength that we have, nor with the social connections, status, or financial capabilities.
True battles, which usually start in our own minds and hearts, are won with knees bent in front of the Savior who alone is capable to strengthen us and give us a new beginning, and fresh start.
“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” Matthew 6:33
Thank you for reading through our devotional today. I invite you to ponder on Matthew 6:5-13 to dig deeper on today’s topic.
Reflection Question: How do you plan to intentionally carve out time for the Lord? How does knowing that even Jesus needed solitude and times of silence to be with Heavenly Father, encourage you to do the same?
Conversation with the Lord: Heavenly Father, thank you for inviting me to deepen my relationship with you. I love you above all, and I thank you that in You I can find rest, refuge, comfort and guidance. Amen.
