As parents, when we refuse to surrender our life of sinfulness to God, we do not only mangle our own life. We also compromise our children’s future.
When we do not live out Jesus’ teachings, our children will never get to know and follow Jesus at the most crucial time of their life. We fail to provide for them the best foundation they could ever have as they live their own lives. The foundation of truth in Christ.
When we forgo leaving them a legacy of faith, we rob them of the hope that will sustain them as they meet life’s inevitable struggles and pain. Choosing to follow Jesus from hereon, will not only give us peace. It gives our children a headstart in acquiring Godly wisdom and a strong moral foundation. It is never too late to start today.
“All your children will be taught by the Lord, and great will be their peace.” Isaiah 54:13

Reflection Question: Where are you standing on your faith journey right now and how does it impact your parenting, and your child’s relationship with the Lord? What concrete steps will you take this week to improve your relationship with God and consequently, make Him known to your kids too?
Conversation with the Lord: Lord Jesus Christ, thank you for wanting to know me and my children into a deeper level. Forgive me for the times I have taken this for granted. Grant me the grace and confidence to know you better Lord, so that I can bring my children to you too. Amen.Â
