Peace is a special gift for people who choose to focus on the Lord. For those who do not waver in looking to Him, and thanking Him, no matter the situation peace becomes possible. It is a gift received by
those who continue to trust in His best plans and faithful promises.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7
When we immerse in God’s word intentionally every single day. When we sing praises even outside Church and beyond Sundays. When we faithfully pray and leave upon His feet our concerns and fear, His
gift of peace will calm us.
“Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.” Psalm 1:1-3
When we are rooted in His word, and His truth guides our actions every single day, we will be assured that no matter what the world seems to say, we are okay. We can tune out the noise, because in the end we know who sees all things, knows all things, and has the power above all things — and He is our Heavenly Father.

Reflection Question: Do you lack peace today? How can focusing on one of God’s specific promises calm your heart? What other steps can you take to bring your worries over to God?
Conversation with the Lord: Heavenly Father, thank you that you are my wonderful Savior, who gives us peace that transcends understanding. Thank you that when we choose to fix our eyes on You, You take our fears and anxieties away. Give us the grace to continue holding on to
you and your promises. Amen.
