When plagued with doubts about ourselves and doubts about God, may we choose to silence them by focusing on Jesus. Let us choose to fix our gaze on His promises and enduring words. May we always remember His faithfulness in the past, and the fact that He loved us even before we
started loving and following Him.
“The LORD is a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O LORD, have not forsaken those who seek you.” Psalm 9:9-10
Dousing doubts
Let us allow God’s grace, mercy and goodness to douse whatever doubts, fears and anxieties we may have. Remembering in our hearts that there is no past He cannot redeem, no problem of ours He doesn’t know and cannot help us with, and there is no enemy He cannot defeat.
“For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless.” Psalm 84:11

Reflection Question: How do you deal with your doubts? How often do you bring them over to the Lord. How can grasping firmly on His words help strengthen you during bouts of doubting and fear?
Conversation with the Lord: Heavenly Father, thank you for choosing to strengthen our fearful and weary hearts. Thank you, you never grow tired of pouring your grace and comfort upon us, when we come to you. Thank you for loving us, and give us the confidence to continue reaching out to you, especially in times of doubt. Amen.
