Daily devotional: Failure to overpower

Our seemingly epic failures in life do not have the power to sabotage our future. Once we have Jesus in our hearts, shame can no longer seize us. We serve a God who does not condemn. A God who loves us even at our worst. And a God who forgets about everything that He has forgiven us of.

Romans 11:29
Romans 11:29

“For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.” Romans 11:29

We are reminded that instead of being condemned, our God restores us when we surrender our lives to Him. And if we just hold on to His promises and the new life He has given us our failures will not have
the power to keep us stuck in the mud of grief, trauma, and pain.

“He will again have compassion on us; he will tread our iniquities underfoot. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea.” Micah 7:19

Thank you for reading our devotional today. Kindly read Isaiah 61:7-8 for a deeper dive into our topic.

Reflection Question:  Do you feel like your failures are keeping you from living the best life God has planned for you? What steps would you take to get to know God’s assurances that He does not condemn you, and will hold your hand and restore your life?

Conversation with the Lord: Heavenly Father, give me the grace to remain confident in your love. Help me hold on to your assurances that I am now living a new life, and can take hold of your promises. Help
me move on and live a fruitful life moving forward. Amen.
