]]>It is a new year, and for some it is a time to test new revenue streams and business endeavors.
Moms like us are no exception when it comes to these things, as whether you stay at home, work from home, or work out of the home full time, you always have this nagging thought of how to increase your income, or what side business you can take.
Anyway, I recently came up with a series of posts on food items that you can sell to earn an extra income. Here now are some business ideas that you may want to try out —
(Post Continued Below)

3. Load Business – The load retailer business has reached new heights with even more products to sell. From cellphone load to mobile internet load, to prepaid cable TV credits, and now even over the air remittances, you will surely get busy as you embark in this endeavor. Widen your clientele by asking for your husband’s help too — he can get clients for you from his workplace! Here is a link on how to become a load retailer.
4. Direct Selling/Be a Reseller — this may be the oldest type of side business for stay at home moms but it wouldn’t stay this long if it aint paying! Choose from the many items you can resell — from the usual Avon, Tupperware, Triumph, Amway, Herbalife, Boardwalk, Natasha, and the like to social enterprises like Human heart Nature, Mother Nurture and more. Check out this website for the list of Direct Selling Companies in the Philippines and their respective contact information.
5. Daily Packed Ulam Supplier – Think Sexy Chef but more mainstream, and more affordable. Well if you can do diet/organic based recipes and can find a steady clientele, well and good, but if you are targeting a more regular client base like your husband’s officemates or the employees in an office building near you or perhaps, if you are living in a compound or apartment complex then your neighbors, then basic packed food will do. You can text them the ulam offerings the night before so you can deliver it to them on a set time – or you can make it even easier for them to order by posting it on your FB or creating an FB Page altogether! Your recipes need not be complicated. In fact you can just make a big batch of what your family will be eating plus two more choices! And the best part here is you get to eat for free as well.
So there you have it. Hope you got some business ideas that can create a new revenue source for your family. ]]>This is the fourth or fifth installment I think in my series on food items that you can sell in the Philippines. In the aim of helping moms like me earn extra from home, I decided to come up with this series, to help give extra income ideas for stay at home moms, full time working moms, and even work from home moms.
For this particular post, I will be sharing with you recipe ideas on the beloved Puto. Puto is not that complicated to make, and at the same time it does not require an oven. 3. Puto Leche –As mentioned on my post on steamed desserts that you can sell, this version of the humble puto is one on steroids! Imagine a puto with creamy leche flan at its base? Just perfect. Check out this recipe.
4. Special Puto or Puto with toppings — this is basically plain puto with toppings that will surely make it a stand alone merienda! Wala pa ang pancit or diniguan mabubusog ka na. Usual yummy toppings are red eggs, quickmelt cheese, and even both. Here is an easy recipe to follow.
5. Puto with filling — Yes you can make puto a dessert-worthy food! You may fill it with choco ganache, nutella, yema, ube, strawberry jam and more. This is a good recipe!

]]>It is a reality that not all Filipino households have Ovens. And this is the reason why most of the native desserts in our country are steamed. Almost all homes have tiered steamers we all grew up seeing.
Anyway, this post is part of happypinaymommy.com’s series of posts on food items that can be sold for extra income. I have earlier written about no-bake sweets, gelatin-based desserts, as well as chocolate-based desserts that can provide a side business for moms like us.
So for the third issue in this series, I am suggesting to you some

]]>If you are looking for an extra income – whether as a full-time working mom or a stay at home mom, then you might want to consider these no-bake desserts to sell in the Philippines.
These are really easy to do, and with just enough clean and creative packaging, plus patience and sales talk, you can definitely get a loyal clientele.
If you are a stay at home mom, you can start by asking for your husband’s help in selling the desserts to his officemates, and then follow up with an FB Page where the officemates can see your other offerings. You may also join bazaars, or ask a store near you if you can sell your goodies for consignment.
If you are working 8-5 you can of course sell it to your officemates, online, to your husband’s officemates etc. The small amount that you can earn from such an endeavor will grow overtime, and who knows, you might end up focusing on this and start working from home.
