Tortang giniling with potatoes and malunggay

NEWBIE COOKING MAMA ALERT! Tortang Giniling with Potatoes and Malunggay could be one of the simplest recipes you can prepare for your family, especially your children. I remember we regularly have ground pork omelette as ulam when I was younger, and now that I have my own family, i want to regularly serve this dish too but with higher nutritional value.
And since malunggay complements even dry dishes, i decided to include it in the recipe and give it a try. Surprisingly, my children loved it! And another good thing about this is that it is yet another under P100 ulam idea that will fit our budget.
So without futher ado i will be sharing with you, newbie cooking mamas, this tortang giniling with potatoes and malunggay recipe for you to try.

Veggie Tortang Giniling Recipe:

Tortang giniling is yet another dish that will meke it to our P100 Budget ulam recipes because of the affordable ingredients that it features.

Tortang giniling is yet another dish that will meke it to our P100 Budget ulam recipes because of the affordable ingredients that it features.

Ingredients:
250 grams lean ground pork
1 medium potatoes finely chopped
1/2 cup malunggay (i used dried in this recipe but fresh is best)
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cloves of garlic, minced
4 pcs eggs
ADULT SEASONING: Salt and pepper
Optional: 2-3 tbsp fresh milk
Optional: 1/4 cup minced carrots

Cooking Procedure for tortang giniling with potatoes and malunggay:

A healthier version of the tortang giniling we have been accustomed to.

A healthier version of the tortang giniling we have been accustomed to.

1. Saute garlic and onion.
2. Add in the ground pork (i preboil our ground pork to take out excess oils and fats and possible odor) and saute until cooked.
3. Add in potatoes.
4. add 1/4 cup of water and simmer until potatoes are cooked and liquid has evaporated (about 7-10 minutes).
5. Add in the malunggay (and the optional minced carrots) and cook for another two minutes.
5. Turn off the heat and set aside.
6. In a separate mixing bowl, beat the eggs and add the milk if desired. Separate a portion for your toddler or baby, so that you can season the egg mixture for adult consumption. Season the adult portion with salt and pepper.
7. Pour the meat mixture into the bowls. Mix each bowl until all of the ground meat and veggies have been incorporated.
8. Fry depending on your desired size. Some like it as big as the whole pan while others like to fry it burger patty sized.
9. Serve with ketchup!

Hi fellow Happypinaymommies! For those of you who are interested in Teaching English Online for Stay-at-Home Moms and earn a part-time or full-time income from it, I’m sharing with you this very informative guest post from our guest writer and resource person, Mr. Luigi Reparado.

In his Guest post below, he shares to us vital information about becoming an online English teacher, and how to thrive as one while caring for your family full time. Read on:

How to start Teaching English Online for Stay-at-Home Moms

Being a mom is a full-time job on its own. There are moms who decide to quit their jobs, stop working and focus on taking care of their families. Some mothers look for ways of earning money by working at home. Is it possible for a mom to still have a career and be a full-time mom? This sounds like a fairy tale, but the answer is yes.

There are different options on how you can earn while being a full-time mom. One of them is working as a home-based online English teacher. This will not just give you an opportunity to earn, but it will also give you the venue to grow and have a sense of fulfillment.

TIME FLEXIBILITY

Having a regular office job does not always give you the ideal quality time that you want to spend with your family. The flexible schedule that online English teaching offers will give you the liberty to choose when you want to conduct classes. Imagine life where you can attend to your children’s needs and earn money at the same time. Isn’t that great? Take advantage of high technology and benefit from it. Take the privilege of working without sacrificing your parental role – after all, not everybody has this kind of opportunity.

CONVENIENCE

We all know that teaching requires time and effort. You need time to prepare for a lesson plan and some activities. Who has time for that if you’re a working mom? If you are seriously considering to be an online English teacher, find a company who can already provide lesson materials.

Don’t get intimidated though. You don’t need any exceptional skills and talents to perform well. We are fortunate that in our early age, we have been taught how to speak in English. A little polishing of your English skills, a laptop and an internet connection is all you need to start a wonderful teaching journey.

Teaching English online is not as complicated as it seems. Moms can work-from-home and pursue a carrer as an Online English Teacher at the same time.

REWARDING

We heard this a lot of times, make your passion your job, and you will ever feel like working. Work is easier if you enjoy what you do. Learning doesn’t stop at any age. Working as an online English teacher is also a venue for you to learn from your students while you teach them. Since you teach students from different countries, you will learn and appreciate their culture. Being a home-based online English teacher is just like travelling virtually.

Income is also an important thing to consider. Every class is paid, and the amount you earn will depend on how often you open classes. You can be in-charge of your income.

This job is easy, fun and convenient that you can’t help but fall in love with it. Everything is simple and easy to understand. Work-life balance can be challenging – but possible. It will require you to take that leap of faith, make that decision and try something new that will benefit you and your family.

Necessity the Mother of Invention: Financial Solutions for Stay-at-Home Freelancer Moms

By: Mari Bunal

Breastfeeding in public, staying up all night to become a soothing machine, giving daily baths when your infant looks too fragile to even lightly touch — these are only few challenges that mothers of today face. Raising a child (or children) is a significant learning curve for all women. Mastering soiled diapers is one thing, but dealing with the emotional impediments that come with motherhood is a more complicated matter.

Count yourself lucky if these are the only stumbling blocks of consequence you can find on your path. Some mothers out there have to struggle between being the sole breadwinner and primary caregiver. By then, going back to an eight-to-five job is no longer an option. If you find yourself in the same situation, freelancing may be solution for you. Working from home can save you money on childcare and give you the freedom to become a full time mother. Excited to say goodbye to your regular job and enjoy the benefits of freelancing? Check out the following financial solutions to start:

Save up at least half a year’s worth of salary.

The first few weeks of opening a business will be the most costly. You need to buy materials that are necessary to start operating. You will pay up money to get to spread good words about your business. Advertising does not come cheap, not if you want to give your competitors a scare.

Create a feasible plan and set targets.

A good business plan will clarify what you intend to achieve within a certain period of time. It gives a vision of where you want to go, how you can adjust your products and services to adapt to changes in the market, and whether or not you have enough to go forward. A feasible one will help get the attention of administrators who fund small scale businesses, giving them the impression of whether or not your plan has potential.

Know where to get your capital.

You may need to borrow money to finance your startup. One of your options is to apply for a personal loan. With flexible terms, you can enjoy low monthly interest rates while you get the cash you need in less than a week. You can also go for cash advance using your credit card. If you have good credit history, you will have easy access to money up to your maximum limit.

Establish a working space at home.

Your productivity and effectivity will be greatly influenced by how organized and work-conducive your working environment is. It will be especially difficult being around toddlers, so train your kids to be quiet when someone is on the phone with you. Make them understand that when you are in your space, they are not allowed to disturb you. Invest in a comfortable chair, good lighting and ergonomic storage systems.

Freelancing can replace your full-time job while allowing you to be with your kids, giving you the best of both worlds. It may scare you at first, giving up a regular income for something unpredictable. But the difficulties will only be there at the start up. Once you learn the ropes, you will not settle for anything less than calling yourself your own boss.

Mari writes for Loansolutions to help educate people in making informed-decisions on taking out loans and becoming responsible borrowers. Being the COO, she feels it is her social responsibility to do so. Learn more from her as she shares tips, advises and stories on finance. Also, she’s fond of 9GAG, so you might read some random stuff over here.

So there you have it, I hope you have learned a lot from Mari’s article.

Happypinaymommy.com’s 16th WAHM of the Week, Mommy Rika Roman

It has almost been two months since my last blogpost, and forgive me dear ladies for not being able to update. As I have mentioned in our Facebook page, the last two months had been a breath-taking roller coaster ride for my little familia and it needed more of my time and focus so I had to indulge.

Anyway, too much about me, let us talk about this exciting WAHM of the Week feature that was supposed to have been published in time for Valentine’s week. After seeing everything that she is involved with, I am wondering now where this WAHM gets her energy, and sources her creativity and baking prowess! And apart from being a busy WAHM and a hands-on mom, this mommy is also very active in her natural parenting advocacies such as breastfeeding, cloth diapering, and babywearing. In fact she is one of the “punong-abala” in the upcoming GCDC Event of Cloth Diaper Addicts of the Philippines.

So without further ado, let me introduce to you —

Happypinaymommy.com’s 16th Work-at-Home Mommy of the Week, Mommy Rika Roman of Sweet Indulgence by Rika and Mommy Bakes PH.

As I have mentioned, I am amazed as to how Mommy Rika is able to take care of hertwo boys Keiran and Kole, manage her two businesses, run her household, and keep an active social life fueled by her natural parenting advocacies.

She runs two businesses – Sweet Indulgence by Rika, which essentially provides artisan cakes, cupcakes, and pastries that are not just delicious to eat, but are really yummy to look at. Her other business is close to our breastfeeding heart – making super healthy and guilt-free lactation pastries that surely help boost breast milk supply.

Mommy Rika shares she was very involved in her career during her single days, and she managed to carry on until she was four months pregnant. Hyperemesis Gravidarium hit her bad that she had to quit the corporate world. Shortly after the birth of her first son, she found herself to be a happy Stay-at-Home-Mom but she knew her happiness can still be taken up a few notches by opening up a business.

And that was when Sweet Indulgence by Rika was born. Mommy Rika took her love for culinary arts more seriously this time, and opened up a business that has been well received by her clientele.

In spite of her hectic schedule, Mommy Rika makes sure her kids remain to be her top priority.

Let us take a peek into Mommy Rika’s life through the excerpts of our interview with her:

Happypinaymommy.com: When did you decide to be a WAHM?

Mommy Rika: Before motherhood, I was a career woman. I enjoyed the corporate world when i was still single until i got married. Everything changed when i became pregnant with our first child in 2009. My first pregnancy was a very sensitive one. I had Hyperemesia Gravidarium the entire 9 months. I tried to endure it until my 4th month of pregnancy, until i became sickly at work. My colleagues’ scent would make me throw up every now and then, my sense of smell was overly sensitive, i had difficulty coping up with the environment. I had to leave the corporate world in July 2009 when i got confined and decided to stay home to enjoy my pregnancy.

Our firstborn came on November 14, 2009, on my 25th birthday. I said to myself i will be a SAHM thereafter. Motherhood days were filled with bliss, but I longed being productive. Since i am well into culinary, I tried exploring baking. This sparked my interest. I love parties and celebrations, so I thought why not start a business about celebrations? October 8, 2010 we first launched our first business, Sweet Indulgence by Rika, a business which caters to custom artisan cakes, cupcakes and pastries. My WAHM-hood was born.

In June 2013, my second child was born and so did my advocacy for breastfeeding. We launched the second business on August 28, 2013. Another food business which focuses on helping breastfeeding moms increase their milk supply the healthy and yummy way, Mommy Bakes PH makes organic and low calorie milk boosting baked pastries.

HPM: What made you decide to be one?

Mommy Rika: Being a WAHM never crossed my mind. Until I started feeling bored at home. Not that I did not enjoy motherhood, I cherish every moment of it, but I wanted to do more. The career woman in me was making herself felt. Creative juices just won’t stop flowing and just had to be unleashed.

HPM: What is the greatest challenge you have faced in relation to being a WAHM?

Mommy Rika: Being a mother is no piece of cake. Moreso being a mom to two active little boys, add to that being a WAHM without nannies. Time management is one of the greatest challenge, as well as juggling all the responsibilities expected of me. Tending to the kids who both vie for my attention all the time, client meetings and operations of two businesses sometimes makes me nuts, often a zombie.

HPM: What advice can you give to those who may want to become a WAHM?

Mommy Rika: Our children will always come first. Let us never forget, they are the reason why we opt to work, let’s not make our children compete for attention with our chosen careers. Our careers are nothing if we can’t be good parents.

HPM: Who inspires you?

Mommy Rika: My children, Keiran and Kollin. They are the sugar that makes my cakes rise, the frosting (that) brightens my smiles. Also, my parents, Miles and Erwin. They introduced the love for culinary to me as soon as I could talk. They brought me places and exposed me to various good food experiences hence my wide preferences for good food.

HPM: How does your husband/partner support you?

Mommy Rika: My husband is as supportive as I would wish him to be. He helps me in the kitchen, he also does the cake deliveries most of the time. He delivers from South to North or any place in the Metro. And when my hands are too tired kneading, baking and designing and yet i still have chores to do, he offers to do the laundry of Kole’s cloth diapers and sometimes whip up meals in the kitchen. Daddy isn’t as good as mommy in the kitchen though, at least that’s what my kids say.

Cake and Cupcakes by Sweet Indulgence by Rika.

HPM: Can you tell us how your usual day/week goes?

Mommy Rika: Crazy. My day always start and ends crazy. Crazy happy, crazy cool, crazy mad and just plain crazy. Haha. I have boys, i guess that is expected. They never run out of energy, they are always running and playing around. The moment they open their eyes, they are up against each other rough housing already. There are times though when they feel like just being sweet and cuddly.

On an ordinary day, it starts with whipping up a breakfast of their choice, prepping my preschooler for school while my toddler constantly tugs my shirt for milk or hugs and rides my legs when I walk around. Soon as Keiran is picked up by his school bus, Kole and I would head to bed, breastfeeding time for him while admin work for mommy checking client inquiries, negotiating with clients on my mobile or sketching cake designs.

Once he falls asleep, lunch will be made and so on. I usually bake and design late evening till wee hours of the morning when the boys are asleep. Yes, I am a zombie like most WAHMs are . Sometimes i let them in the kitchen watch me work and learn how things go. It is challenging but it is all worth the love and happiness i am able to share with my kids, and the smiles our baked products give our clients. Making more momma friends from our clients is an added cherry on the top.

The first ever Work-at-Home Mommy of the Week that we will be featuring for this year is a Cloth Diaper WAHM who is known for making customized cloth diaper inserts. She is actually a top of mind WAHM when it comes to custom inserts, such that whenever a new cloth diapering mama would ask for recos on specialized inserts, she will most likely be tagged into the thread as a reco.

Now she is venturing into making customized hybrid fitted cloth diapers as well. The CDs that she sews are now earning rave reviews from her clients. Apart from being a cloth diaper WAHM she also does online selling of products of a networking company.

So when I say let us start the year right, let us start the year right by featuring a very inspiring story.

This is the longest that I have gone without coming out with a WAHM of the Week feature. Obviously, the series is supposed to come out weekly, but with the many happy chaotic events that marked my December, my January had become a month of catching up on all the backlogs that I have – be it here in the blog, or at home. You should really see our laundry room!

Anyway, too much for all the explaining, the extended hiatus on this series, obviously extended my research, informal interview turned life chats with Mommy Isabel. She is a very pleasant person, whom I found to be very deep, inspiring, and bold enough to speak her mind.

Mommy Isabel obviously loves her craft so much, that she finds joy in sewing her products. I am even more surprised because for the busy mom and person that she is, she still finds time to do charity works like donating cloth diapers to an orphanage, and even donating her locks to cancer patients!

Mommy Isabel's Customized Cloth Diaper

Mommy Isabel’s Customized Cloth Diaper

Of course, her first priority is being a mom to little Zoey. I haven’t seen Zoey in person but I have seen a lot of her and heard a lot of her antics as mommy Isabel posts from time to time about their happy moments together. I can say that this little tot is just so lucky to have Mommy Isabel as her mother because as Mommy Isabel said in one of our chats, she is working hard to give all the best to Zoey.

Mommy Isabel chose to work from home to be with little Zoey all the time. And like the WAHMs we have featured last year, Mommy Isabel wanted to see her daughter grow before her own eyes. So, her days may be full because of work errands, personal errands, home chores, and mommy duties, but Mommy Isabel says she is happy where she is and in what she is doing.

Here is an excerpt of my interview with Mommy Isabel:

Happypinaymommy.com: When did you decide to be a WAHM?

Mommy Isabel: My previous company did not allow me to work because I had a very delicate pregnancy. That’s why I decided to resign and stay at home for the rest of my pregnancy. We had five trips to the Emergency Room due to force labor. During those times I promised my baby to have one full year to personally take care of her. But I was not able to keep that promise. (After a year of staying home with Zoey) I told myself one more year. Hahaha… Never ending reasons and unfailing love keeps me working from home while taking care of her. I am a single mom.

HPM: What made you decide to be a WAHM?

Mommy Isabel: The main reason why I decided to be a WAHM is the fact that I can’t feel in my heart that there will be someone who will take better care of my kid than me. I can’t trust other people to raise my kid. Plus I want to see her grow with my very eyes.

HPM: What is the greatest challenge you have faced in relation to being a WAHM?

Mommy Isabel: Being a WAHM is very, very, very tiring but fulfilling. Being a WAHM is like being your own brand of a superwoman. The greatest challenge is the financial aspect but with a lot of discipline and courage… “KAYANG-KAYA NAMAN”. Staying at home, thinking of the bills, taking care of the house, yourself and a toddler is never easy. You need to be a little more mindful of your time. Management is the key of a successful and happy WAHM.

Custom cloth diapers

In Mommy Isabel’s own words, here is how her custom cloth diaper projects have evolved.

HPM: What advice can you give to those who may want to become a WAHM?

Mommy Isabel: Make use of your time. Exert effort to be productive. You cannot expect all the good things to come in a golden platter when you wish them to. You have to work. In the world where we live now, everything is made simple and fast. If you want to put up a business with little amount of capital in your hand, then move and take the first step. Try to learn as many information as you can about the business you want to put up. Try it yourself. Experience is your best teacher. The best sales person are the ones who know what they are talking about.

HPM: Who inspires you?

cloth diaper wahm philippines

Mommy Isabel’s inspiration to word doubly hard and feel all the goodness that life has to offer is her little toddler, Zoey.

Mommy Isabel: My kid. The burning desire of giving her the best keeps me going.

HPM: Can you tell us how your usual day/week goes?

Mommy Isabel: “My working hours are my kid’s sleeping and napping times. She usually sleeps 10pm until around 9-10am. During this time I am busy cutting my fabrics, washing the dishes, washing her clothes and diapers, cleaning the house, etc. I make sure to finish as much work as I can. Then when she wakes up. I will feed her. Bathe her. Play with her. Then I go to the shop where I am renting an edging machine to sew my inserts.

Before, I let people from the shop sew the inserts. But because I am wise… Hahaha… I took the opportunity to learn how to do it myself with the masters around me. Brilliant isn’t it?

Mommy Isabel's Six Layer Bamboo Hemp bifold

Mommy Isabel’s Six Layer Bamboo Hemp bifold

Then, I do my banking errands with my kid in tow. I write my waybills while she’s playing beside me. I think i’m just too lucky that I have a well-behaved baby who seems to understand the need to do things at a certain time. I always talk to her. Tell her what I need to do. And I know in my heart she understands.”

And like our past WAHM of the WEEK Features we also asked for testimonials on the products of Mommy Isabel.

Mommy Michelle Joy Agtang is one of Mommy Isabel’s highly satisfied clients. She says, “Isabel is a very kind, humble lady. I was in search of an insert for my Fluffy Ds fitted when I met her. She is really nice – from thoroughly answering my PMs, reserving my items and patiently waiting for her payment. Her handcrafted inserts are excellent, the bifolds I got from her are my favorite. The performance is indeed amazing as I combine them with her hemp inserts and prefers to use them at night, where it can last us 12hrs the most. And what I admire more about her is her advocacy to help her fellow mothers find the perfect insert that will fit their needs at an affordable price.”

SNAKE STYLE INSERT

Mommy Isabel’s Premium Bifold has as much as ten layers when inserted on a nappy: Premium Bifold has
√ 10 Layers when folder and is made of three Layers Bamboo Cotton French Terryy, and two layers of hemp fleece. She has other fabric options for her bifolds too.

Another happy customer is Mommy Majic Navarro-Recta. She first ordered customized inserts from Mommy Isabel “27months at med-heavy wetter ang toddler ko. After three washes ng BCFT ko nakakaya na niya mag overnight without boost ang ganda pa ng fit kasi sakto siya sa nappy ko at hindi din makapal. Andami ko na actually na-order kay sis isabel mga booster, HF soaker and bifolds. At lahat nagwork!”

Bamboo Cotton French Terry Cloth Diaper Insert

Here is what Mommy Isabel’s BFCT is made of: Five Layers Bamboo Cotton French Terry; Stand alone day time insert; Thin and light weight; Length: 13 inches; Width: 5 inches; Best fits BG, Quigle Bum, Alva, Baby land etc.

And because she is satisfied with the custom inserts, she decided to try out Mommy Isabel’s handmade Cloth Nappies. “Ang cute ng mga nappy ni sis isabel meron na akong dalawa. First nappy may kaunting run pa pero maganda ang fit sa anak ko nasa smallest setting kame more room to grow maganda din yung AWJ makapal plus galaxy pa ang print nun dream print ko. For the Second nappy wow anlaki ng improvement super linis ng tahi no run! Smallest setting paden kame.”

So there you have it. Hope you have been inspired with the WAHM experience of Mommy Isabel. Tahi Kho Cloth Diapers

Happypinaymommy.com’s 14th Work-at-Home-Mommy of the Week started selling when she was in Elementary School. She started sewing custom made cloth diapers this year, and she hosts one of the happiest local cloth diaper mom groups.

Without further ado, let me introduce to you happypinaymommy.com’s 14th WAHM of the Week, Mommy Jay Anne Kho-Tacbas of Tahi Kho Cloth Diapers.

Tahi Kho Cloth Diapers

Happypinaymommy.com’s 14th WAHM of the Week: Mommy Jay Anne of Tahi Kho Cloth Diapers

Like most of the Work-At-Home-Moms that we have featured, Mommy Jay Anne chose to work from home to be able to be with her little boy, Marko 24/7. She admits she wanted to raise her son the way she was raised as a kid, because her own mom stayed home as well.

In the local cloth diapering community, Tahi Kho cloth diapers is starting to gain ground. Ask local HF fans and they will tell you that the Tahi Kho Cloth Diaper group is a fun, lively FB group to hang out in – sort of an online barkadahan for cloth mommies.

Anyway, for those of you who are thinking of becoming a WAHM or if you are considering to put up an online business –

Sharing with you the Excerpts of our Interview with Mommy Jay Anne of Tahi Kho Cloth Diapers:

Happypinaymommy.com: When did you decide to be a WAHM?

Mommy Jay Anne: I’ve always been a seller since I was in grade school (Stickers, anyone? Hehe). Growing up, I knew for a fact that I would like to become just like my mom one day, leaving her job to focus on being a full-time mom. Since I enjoy selling, there! Tahi-Kho started just this 2015, March.

HPM: What made you decide to be one?

Mommy Jay Anne: When my friend and I got addicted to buying cloth diapers, she told me, why not learn how to sew? We could both save money!

HPM: What is the greatest challenge you have faced in relation to being a WAHM?

Mommy Jay Anne: I can only sew when Marko is asleep. Time management is the key.

Tai Kho Cloth Diapers

Mommy Jay Anne’s Handmade Cloth Diapers. She explains “these are my favorite nappies! Obviously because the other is specially customized for son, Marko. I love the colorful dots and how vibrant it is! So playful — just like my son! The other one is my halloween nappy. I love how the cobwebs and spiders stand out! It has an inner orange cotton velour too!”

HPM: What advice can you give to those who may want to become a WAHM?

Mommy Jay Anne: Have passion in whatever you do. Take risks; it is hard at first, but everything else will follow. Make your family your first priority; after all, they are the main reason why you’re doing it.

Tahi Kho Cuddle CUbes

The baby that inspired Tahi Kho Cloth Diapers — Little Marko. Here he is playing with one of his mom’s bestselling products, the Cuddle Cubes. Mommy Jay Anne describes the cuddle cubes as “a colorful soft cube toy with different textures and ribbons on each side, which will encourage your child to explore and discover things.”

HPM: Who inspires you?

Mommy Jay Anne: My family. Being with Marko 24/7 is more than enough to make me do anything for him. My parents. They make me want to raise my own family just like they did. My customers. They’ve become more than just clients- they’ve become friends whom I can talk to any time of the day.

HPM: How does your husband/partner support you?

Mommy Jay-Anne's Family.

Mommy Jay-Anne’s Family. Take a look at their his and hers sneakers! Sweet and cute at the same time 🙂

Mommy Jay Anne: He’s very supportive. When I told him I wanted to sew HFs and baby stuff, he gave me a sewing machine for my birthday!!! How sweet is that?!

HPM: Can you tell us how your usual day/week goes?

Mommy Jay Anne: I am also a freelance Architect; I visit my project once a week. I work on my drawings when Marko is sleeping or is busy with his grandparents and aunties. But my usual day goes like this: Marko wakes up at around 5-6am, so I get to start my day early. I can sew when he is asleep during the afternoon, which is my only time to do stuff like that. During the evening, while the little one is fast asleep, I watch movies/television with my husband.

Mommy Jay-Anne says, as a WAHM you should always remember that your family is your priority, and that they are your reason why you chose the path of Working from Home.

Like our past WAHM Features we also sought for testimonials on Mommy Jay Anne’s products.

Mommy Jasmer Omaria is one of Tahi Kho’s fans. One of my favorite brand ng HFs na gawa ng ating local WAHMs ay ang Tahi-Kho. Aside sa nappy na talagang masasabi mong “handmade with LOVE”, ganda pa ng performance nito. With default soaker, tumatagal ng 3-4hours na walang leak ang nappy sa aking LO. I even use it as our overnight nappy pag ginagamitan ko ng zorb. Perfect fit for lo. No garter marks kahit overnight ko gamitin.”

Taken during a recent Mini EB of members of the fun and lively Tahi Kho Cloth Diaper FB Group. “It is a fun group where cloth diapering moms get to interact and chat,” describes Mommy Jay Anne

Mommy Jasmer of course mentioned about the fun FB group Tahi Kho Cloth Diapers is also famous for. “Daming games, daming prizes, daming kaganapan, daming surprise!!! Ito ang group na araw araw at mayat maya may GAMES! Nagkakapuyatan na nga kakaGAMES. Hahahah! At dahil sa games and giveaways, nanalo ako ng burp pads, bibs and soft toy. At lahat ng yun, maganda talaga ang pagkakagawa..at cliche na kung sasabihin kong “handmade with love” din ang mga yun kasi totoo naman talaga.” She added “Thank you so much mommy J for being generous, accomodating, friendly and loving sa lahat ng members and customers ng Tahi-Kho. I know na talagang you will.be blessed kasi you are.one of a kind person with a.very very good heart pati din kay mommy Zel. Marami kayong napasaya na mga mommies I’m sure. Super excited ako sa iba pang games, surprises at syempre sa mga HFs!”

Another satisfied Tahi Kho client is Mommy Jenny Baniaga-Soriano. “I support WAHMS and my goal is to have at least one HF or fitted from each of them. Tahi Kho actually yung unang brand na napagtanungan ko about HF… Sobrang bait ni Sis JayAnne at sobrang accomodating. Yung unang hf ko from her ay napanalunan ko sa raffle niya. I can say na ang ganda ng gawa ni Jay Anne. Ang linis ng pagkaka stitch..ang ganda ng quality.. Makikita talaga na it is made with love, time and effort.”

Tahi Kho Hybrid Fitted Cloth Diaper.

Mommy Jen’s eight-month old Little Boy Matt Stephen wearing a Tahi Kho Hybrid Fitted Cloth Diaper.“I will definitely buy another one again or more sa stocking niya.. Ganda pa ng mga tela nya,” Mommy Jen says.

Mommy Glizelle is also very happy about Tahi Kho Cloth Diapers. In fact she is one of the reasons why the Tahi Kho Cloth Diaper group is a fun group to begin with. She is the group Admin.

Mommy Zel's kids wearing Tahi Kho Cloth Diapers

“(Her products are) budget friendly; my eldest before can use it for overnight use. I had the same experience when I used it on my youngest. We didn’t need to add an additional insert/zorb/booster because the soaker/insert can last us overnight. It has a perfect fit as well and the prints are so pretty! You’ll also feel the mother’s touch and love on Tahi Kho HFs.” She concludes.

Another happy Tahi Kho client is one of the WAHM’s we recently featured — Mommy Grace Rayos-Abando of Imprints. She says “Mommy JayAnne is one of the nicest and sincerest WAHMs I know. While most sewing moms were making cloth diapers, she also make other baby stuff like neck pillows and these cute Cube Plushies (I bought three.) The plushies were very well crafted – the choice of prints are appropriate for toddlers as they were eye-catching, the fabrics have different textures that helped in enhancing the sense of touch, the color and sizes of the taggies also had variety for enhancing the sense of sight, and the execution of sewing was just perfect.”

Mommy Grace's Little Boy playing with Tahi Kho's Cuddle Cubes

Mommy Grace’s Little Boys playing with Tahi Kho’s Cuddle Cubes “My kids loved them that they already played with them the moment I received and opened the parcel,” she says.

Mommy Grace actually has another upcoming order from Mommy Jay-Anne. “Now she offers the catch-all bibs that’s perfect for preventing dirty clothes and messy floor during baby’s meal time, and I can’t wait to have my order delivered and use them at once. Definitely loved the products and the mom who’s behind it,” she says.

So there you have it. Hope you were able to learn more about Mommy Jay Anne, and at the same time, you have been somehow inspired to take the leap and try the WAHM life. As I have always said, I started this series to encourage 8-5 moms who want to stay home or  want to have a breather from the daily grind, to give Working From Home a try and that becoming a WAHM is feasible, and other moms are making it work with flying colors. Mommy Jeanette Un of Earth Baby Cloth Diapers

Our 13th Work-at-Home Mommy of the Week is Mommy Jeanette Un of Earth Baby Cloth Diapers. She is based in Cagayan de Oro City and she owns Earth Baby Cloth Diapers – Philippine Cloth Diaper brand popular for being a reliable and earth-friendly nappying solution for babies and toddlers alike.

Mommy Jeanette said, becoming a Work-at-Home Mom is a conscious effort she took as she intends to be always there for her kids during their formative years. She recently gave birth, and she is now mom to three adorable kids.

Get inspired, as I share with you some excerpts of our interview with the mommy behind Earth Baby Cloth Diapers:

Happypinaymommy.com: When did you decide to be a WAHM?

Mommy Jeanette: When my first baby came out in 2009, I decided to be a WAHM. We started Earth Baby Modern Cloth Diapers after my second baby was born in 2012. It was borne out of a common advocacy between my mom friend and I to make cloth diapers available for more moms, and that yes, it’s worth the “inconvenience of additional laundry” and that choosing cloth is going to be one of decisions you’ll be glad you made.

HPM: What made you decide to be one?

Mommy Jeanette: I wanted to be a hands-on mom and really be there for the formative years of the kids. I can always decide to work full time later on should I desire to, but they will not always be kids, and I wanted to make sure I am there when they need me the most.

HPM: What is the greatest challenge you have faced in relation to being a WAHM?

Mommy Jeanette: I guess the greatest challenge I faced in relation to being a WAHM is getting peace and quiet to get some work done, hehe.. It’s especially hard when the kids are older babies or toddlers. I have mastered the art of multitasking (breastfeeding while working on the pc), speedy bathing, and just working amidst the chaos. I try to keep in mind that “children are not a distraction from more important work, they are the most important work.”

Earth Baby Cloth Diapers

The Moms and Kids behind Earth Baby Cloth Diapers

HPM: What advice can you give to those who may want to become a WAHM?

Mommy Jeanette: Find a work that you truly love and believe in. During those times when stress piles up, looking back to why you decided to be a WAHM in the first place will spur you to keep on going. Working at home is essentially juggling taking care of work and kids. If you can, try involving kids in your work so you can get hit two birds with one stone.

Earth Baby Cloth Diapers

From their website: Earth Baby Modern Cloth Diapers – Solutions for a healthier baby, happier mom, and a cleaner Earth.

HPM: Who inspires you?

Mommy Jeanette: I am inspired by the moms who support our endeavor, when they share how our product has helped them meet their baby’s needs, when our service has satisfied them, it ignites the flame of passion in us to continue what we do.

HPM: How does your husband/partner support you?

Mommy Jeanette: My husband supports me by helping me take care of the kids. Sometimes he would take them out with him so I can have some “me time”. He also believes in the same advocacy, and is actually an excellent salesperson to other dads. Many a dad have come to choose cloth diapers because of his own testimony!

Earth Baby

HPM: Tell us more about Earth Baby Cloth Diapers and why are you proud of your brand?

Mommy Jeanette: Each Earth Baby Cloth Diaper we release is a product of research and development, products that are mom-tested and mom-approved. We wanted mothers to be able to try our products and realize that cloth diapering really works! Our flagship product is our Pocket Diaper PLUS which is a heavy-duty pocket diaper for heavy wetters and night diapering. One of the greatest challenges of cloth diapering is finding an effective night diaper set up. We did the hard work ourselves in figuring out a solution that works so mothers won’t have to. It is truly unlike other pocket diapers in the market. Its signature double leg gussets, wide openings, roomy pocket, and very absorbent inserts all work together to give you a night diapering solution that ensures good nights and dry mornings.

And like our past WAHM of the Week Features, we also asked around about Earth Baby Cloth Diapers.

Mommy Ams Macaraeg was happy to tell us about her experience with Earth Baby Cloth Diapers.

“My first ever cloth diaper was from Earth Baby. Back then, I was searching for diapers with solid colors only as I didn’t want complicated designs. I discovered the brand through facebook and wanted to patronize local brands that’s why I thought I give it a try.”

Earth Baby Cloth Diaper

She continues “Jeanette was very accommodating as I asked so many questions. We had a lot of email exchanges and she gave me tips and pieces of advice on how to take care of our diapers. My first transaction with her was for two diapers only as I wanted to test the difference between snaps and velcro. As I tested both, I ended up liking more the snap version and ordered several more the next time. I picked up my orders personally from her when I had the chance to visit CDO. She was really pleasant even in person and she became a friend since then.”

Earth Baby Cloth Diapers

For her second baby, Mileina, Mommy Ams continued to patronize Earth Baby Cloth Diapers. “Now with my newborn, I wanted a different system to try. I am now using prefolds and Earth Baby covers because a newborn poops a lot at this stage.”

Mommy Ams stressed “In general, I love Earth Baby diapers as the workmanship is truly great. Ours lasted about two years until my eldest was potty trained. We even got to sell them at a very good price because it still looked new. But more than the diaper itself, it was the friendship Jeanette and I built that I treasure more. She indeed deserve the success of her brand.”

So there you have it. Hope you have been inspired with how Mommy Jeanette manages her flourishing business and being with her kids 24/7. While reviewing the photos sent to me, and making graphic materials and captions for it, I got amazed at how nice the products for the client testimonies were for this particular WAHM of the Week Feature – and I am not exaggerating. You will see later that one of the finished products that our WAHM of the Week makes is Pinterest-level wedding souvenirs that are simple yet to classy and fab.

Anyway, before I get too carried away, allow me to introduce to you–

Happypinaymommy.com’s 12th Work-at-Home Mommy of the Week, Mommy Grace Rayos-Abando of Imprints.

Grace Final CollageMommy Grace started her WAHM business more than a year ago. Imprints – is basically a printing business for almost anything you would like to have a print on – in the Cloth Diapering world that would mean brand tags, thank you labels, bum prints, and the like. In fact, Mommy Grace supplies tags to a lot of Cloth Diaper WAHMs, so if you want to see her workmanship and you have an HF in your baby’s CD Stash, there is a big chance, the brand tags sewn on the side of the nappy is from Imprints.

Anyway, she mentioned that she really intended to become a WAHM to be able to personally take care of her kids and at the same time get some source of self-satisfaction about earning her own money and helping her husband. And boy, you’d really be inspired with Mommy Grace’s story! She has a flourishing business, and she takes care of the kids and manages the home all at the same time! You’d really wonder where she gets all the energy to take care of her boys – yes two energetic boys – tend to her business, and do all the house chores.

Well, maybe her secret is time management. Mommy Grace and I exchange PMs during wee hours – we joke that we have the same work schedule – hence the conversations/informal interview happen while we both work, when we have both accomplished our house chores, and the kids are already asleep.

So for those of you ladies who would like to set-up an enterprise, or any home-based business – read on, and find out that yes, it is possible to stay home with the kids and run a happy source of livelihood at the same time.

Here is an excerpt of our interview with Mommy Grace:

Happypinaymommy: When did you become a WAHM?

Mommy Grace: My being a Work-at-Home-Mom officially kicked-off in October, 2014. But even before that my interest in business started when I quit working the time I got pregnant with our first born (2011). It was also that time my friends and I ventured in a dimsum franchise, which unfortunately didn’t turn out well that we had to close it down. So being the unemployed that I was, my mother-in-law (a WAHM herself) involved me in her small backyard garments/sewing business from which I did inventory, accounting, and some manual end-of-line processing i.e. trimming and folding. While learning the in-and-outs of the enterprise, my husband and I saw an opportunity in printing since we had to outsource it from different printers. Then we started to do some research, studied the market, and even interviewed people from the same bandwagon. We found it feasible that it can be done even at home and had the sufficient funds for the printing business package. So around September, 2014, we didn’t think twice and we purchased the set for me to get started working from home.

HPM: Why did you decide to become a WAHM?

Mommy Grace: Aside from the mere reason that I will be able to personally take care of our kids, and help our family’s ends meet, working at home was actually also for my self-satisfaction. Earning on my own makes me feel better about myself that I am not fully dependent on my husband’s salary, so I sometimes splurge on shopping without being guilty (heehee). Another reason is that I always loved all sorts of crafting – it serves as a breather from household chores and the toddlers’ tantrums. It really helps that the products I create are quite diverse so it doesn’t really get mundane at all – shirts, mugs, tags/labels, bum prints for cloth diapers, souvenirs, invites, business cards, and many more.

Mommy Grace’s Imprints offers custom prints on almost every thing: shirts, jackets, mugs, pillows, souvenirs, invites, business cards, brand labels and tags, bum prints for cloth diaper, mousepads, flipflops, jigsaw puzzles, and many more. Here are some of her finished products. Here is a link to her FB Page.

HPM: What is the greatest challenge you have faced in relation to being a WAHM?

Mommy Grace: We have no house helper so I do everything – cooking, washing the dishes, cleaning the house, bathing, feeding, teaching and mothering the kids (plus I still breastfeed the 19mos tot). In between those chores and especially during wee hours are the only times I am able to work so time management is definitely a challenge. In this business line (or in all businesses) also learning never stops, there would always be something new or innovation each day. I have to keep up with technology and modernity, extracting creative juices from my brain requires hard work.

HPM: What advice can you give to those who may want to become a WAHM?

Mommy Grace: Here are the pieces of advice that I can give to moms (or moms to be) who are considering to working from home — 1. Do what you love, love what you do and stick to it. It is true and proven many times that if you love what you do, you’ll never feel working a day in your life. I love being a mother, I love being a wife, I love to stay at home, I love crafts, and I love being an entrepremom! 2. Continue to learn every day, even if you’re just at home. There are so many things and ideas you can explore. You might end up finding something you can be passionate about. 3. Never dwell on your failures, be brave enough to move on and get back on track. 4. Always be thankful, live a simple life and refer to #1.

HPM: Who inspires you?

Mommy Grace: I have lots of inspirations but my husband and kids are on the top of the list, they keep me going and motivated at all times. I am inspired as well by other people especially entrepreneurs with humble beginnings, learning about their lives and their stories of both success and failures. I also get inspired by myself, that I keep trying always to become better, wishing that someday I will also be able to inspire others.

HPM: How does your husband support you?

Mommy Grace: My husband, of course, is my number one supporter and critic. He hadn’t really been much of a risk taker so he keeps my balance as I, most of the time, am being on the extremes of being too confined and too aggressive. He tolerates the things I love to do and doesn’t get tired of driving for me.

HPM: Can you tell us how your usual day/week goes?

Mommy Grace: An ordinary day for me starts with the usual mommy duties and coffee helps me thru the day. In between those duties, I multi-task in answering messages, or doing some online research. Yes, I admit that I am very attached to my smartphone (I cannot live without it and internet, seriously) since the business I run is more or less 70% thru online transactions. While the kids are napping, then I will have to continue with the layouts, printing, or cutting. If there are products that are scheduled for shipping, I will have to pack them and personally go to the courier tagging along the two tots. At night, I watch some news and teleseryes as my leisure. After the kids are asleep, I resume working on orders until I feel the need to rest. One perk of being a WAHM I should say is that one is not entailed to a definite working hours. I work when I have to, and rest when I want to.

In spite of her very hectic schedule, Mommy Grace takes time to stay in touch with her college friends. Shown in this photo from left to right are her girlfriends Get, Christine, and Kristine..According to mommy grace, they have been friends for 13 years now since they were in third year college as ECE majors at the Batangas State University.

They became close when they were in third year college as ECE majors at the Batangas State University.

Like our other WAHM features, we also sought the testimonies of Mommy Grace’s clients. And like what I said in the opening part of this post – the products are Pinterest material!

Joyce for instance was so happy about the wedding souvenirs she ordered from Mommy Grace!

One of Mommy Grace’s Client, Joyce says “I never imagined I could ask for something that fabulous for a wedding souvenir (at a budget). Her oozing passion for what she does reflects her designs.”

One of Mommy Grace’s Client, Joyce says “I never imagined I could ask for something that fabulous for a wedding souvenir (at a budget). Her oozing passion for what she does reflects her designs.”

Joyce shares “I had Grace make the souvenirs for our wedding last December, and she was one of the easiest vendors I had for our event- hands down meticulous with details and she always tried to communicate her ideas every chance she got. I think it’s very important that she made me, a very busy client, feel prioritized although I was aware she was simultaneously working on other ‘individualized’ projects that time.”

She continues “When it comes to ideas, she conceptualized most of it, even up until the awesome awesome packaging! I just told her I wanted this specific print for the shirt, and she finalized with a souvenir my guests all love and found very personal(ized). I never imagined I could ask for something that fabulous for a wedding souvenir (at a budget). Her oozing passion for what she does reflects her designs.”

Aren't these Pinterest-perfect??

Aren’t these Pinterest-perfect?? Joyce added “She added “the quality of her work is also up to par with other (overpriced) commercially sold products. My friends still tag me wearing the shirts, still in excellent condition.”

Joyce further enthuses: “And I also want to let it out there that Grace’s products are very affordable. With that much artistic touch and manual handcraft, it’s really amazing how she tries to sell her products at a reasonable price! She obviously knows how tipid moms do it. Generally, I give her work of art 5 stars for every category: Details, Quality, Price and Ease of Transaction. And will I order from her again? Absolutely.”

Another happy client of Mommy Grace is a WAHM as well, Mommy Jay Anne Kho-Tacbas of Tahi Kho Cloth Diapers.

“Grace is super nice and accommodating! The first thing I ordered from her was my product tag. I don’t have any idea pa before on to what size or material should I use, and she patiently answered all my questions! I then get to know her as my queries turned into chikahan, haha!”

Tahi Kho Grace Collage

Mommy Jay Anne on Imprints: “I love customized stuffs, and knowing she can do almost anything I can possibly think of, well, that is AMAZING!!! I started ordering customized bum for my son Marko, I even have my hubby’s face printed on it too! She is full of ideas! She suggested my thank you tags to be button-shaped and printed on kraft for added “artsy” look.”

Mommy Jay Anne Added: “I can go on and on listing her superb attitude towards her customers, and how her ideas and products always meet my expectations. Basta, she is one of the best suppliers I have, and she became my friend over time.”

Tina De Guzman of Fluffy Pwets Cloth Diapers
After reviewing my interview with our 11th Work-at-Home Mommy of the week, I kept on thinking how and where she gets all the energy to do all the things that she does. Imagine — she holds a full time job as a lawyer, she has a booming home-based business, and of course she is a wife, and a mother. I literally asked her what are the vitamin supplements she takes, if any, so i could try those out and get much needed energy.

Before i get carried away, i would like to first introduce to you:

happypinaymommy.com’s work-at-home-mom of the week # 11, Mommy Tina de Guzman of Fluffy Pwets Cloth Diapers:

WOW 11 Collagers

Mommy Tina de Guzman started into the cloth diapering business following the birth of his son. Like any other cloth diapering mama, she wanted the best, the most “presko” (breathable) option for her baby’s bum. But the cloth diapers that provide that level of breathability are only being made in the United States at that time, and buying one would mean shelling out money for dollar-priced nappies and paying for international shipping cost.

Mommy Tina certainly knows that not all Pinay cloth diapering mamas can afford such, and that there is a possibility that some of those who can afford might think it is kind of impractical to get one for the cost.  But since Mommy Tina believes in the type of product that she lets her child use, she wants Filipino moms to give Hybrid Fitted Cloth Diapers a try. She then decided to come up with her own line of handmade cloth diapers in 2013 and they are now producing baby and mommy cloth products that are beyond their HF line.

If you are aspiring to put up your own home based business, read on as you will surely learn a lot from our interview with Mommy Tina.

Here is an excerpt of our interview with her:

Happypinaymommy: When did you decide to be a WAHM?

Mommy Tina: Actually, I’m sort of a hybrid myself. I have a home-based business and I still work a full-time day job as a lawyer. While still pregnant, my husband and I were already considering using cloth diapers for our son. We started with the usual option, which are pocket diapers; but I wasn’t satisfied. I researched and tried other cloth diaper systems, and stumbled upon fitteds, a design that doesn’t use laminated cloth. By August 2013, my husband and I already started on our little project. We produced our first protoypes sometime in November 2013. We have not stopped production since.

HPM: What made you decide to be a WAHM?

Mommy Tina: We took a huge risk in deciding to start Fluffy Pwets cloth diapers. At the time, hybrid fitted diapers were unknown to cloth diaper users in the Philippines. Cost of importing materials are high, and if people don’t support the product, all the work would not be worth it. However, we were met with a very warm welcome from the cloth diapering online community, and most of the new friends I made from November 2013 remain close friends and supporters of Fluffy Pwets! The main reason we decided to start Fluffy Pwets are we want to use the most breathable option for our baby, and we wanted to provide Filipino moms a more affordable option as opposed to buying imported diapers. A big bonus for us is that we were able to provide livelihood to three local, skilled seamstresses!

HPM: What is the greatest challenge you have faced in relation to being a WAHM?

Mommy Tina: First, starting out when no one has heard of your product before, trying to get the word out and presenting hybrid fitted diapers as a better option. Second, finding the time to do everything. When we started, I was personally cutting each and every diaper. The first few months, I would cut fabric up to 5 am, then take a bath and prepare to go to the office. Literally “walang tulugan”. My husband had his hand injured from putting all the snaps. Up to now, we are still very hands on, such that when we meet moms in bazaars or other mommy events and they tell us their names, we really know them! Third, copying is too common. A lot of our former clients started making similar products.

HPM: What advice can you give to those who may want to become a WAHM?

Mommy Tina: Pray. Keep the faith. God’s guidance will lead you to success. Be original. Find or develop a product/service that you are really passionate about, and study it. Respect fellow mompreneurs and they will help you out. Employ experts. There are many aspects in running a business, and getting people on your team who are the best at what they do are worthwhile investments. For example, I am a lawyer, not a seamstress, but our team is composed of TESDA-trained seamstresses who have more than 15 years of experience in the textile industry. Husband and I still make all creative decisions, but we are happy to say that our team has now evolved into one well-oiled machine!

HPM: Who inspires you?

Pics at Univ Studio FAMILIA

Family Time: Mommy Tina and Her Family.

Mommy Tina: My family. Our son was the reason we got into this business in the first place. My husband is as hands on as he can be. Our parents and siblings support us all the way. Our clients. Since we started and remain an online business, we get to interact with our clients. We share their happiness when they score rare prints or complete their stash. We’ve made friends way beyond our usual circle.

HPM: How does your husband/partner support you?

Mommy Tina: My husband was our very first master snapper. Up to now he is our official photographer for products and models. He does a lot of back-end support work, without which our operations would not work as smoothly.

HPM: Tell us more about Fluffy Pwets Cloth Diapers, and what makes you proud of your cloth products?

Mommy Tina: We make hybrid fitted cloth diapers (with various customization options), and matching shirts, tops, dresses, and accessories. We make swim clothing also – rashguards and trainers. We are especially proud of our customer service. We are the only local diaper maker who have 1 year warranty on our products. We also have FP Rewards. Each diaper purchased from us earn 1 FP Heart. Collect 12 FP Hearts and get ONE FP diaper free!

And just like our usual WAHM of the WEEK Features, we also asked for testimonials on Fluffy Pwets Cloth Diapers.

Mommy Al Mondz shared this review with Mommy Tina: “Since hybrid fitteds are not waterproof and they’re suggested to be paired with a cover if you intend to use them for longer hours, I was curious how long they can survive before they get wet. We use Fluffy Pwets 5hours max. And so, we decided to use it overnight to see how long it can last. Bawat gising ni Singkit to breastfeed, I’ve been touching his bum to see if it’s already soaked. Surprisingly, 8pm-8am ay hindi man lang basa ang outer layer ng FP! I was really impressed, Tina.”

Another avid client is Mommy Roselene Redondo. “If one is produced out of love and passion, then expect it to be something out of ordinary. This is why FP stands out on its own. FP was my Tisoy’s first hybrid fitted (HF) diaper. I thought I could not afford one for him. Then I met Tina, one of the most generous, genuine “virtual momma” I’ve known in the cloth diapering circle that I was once in. She happily shared, how she loves it when her own son wears HFs, and yes, mahahawa ka talaga sa pagka in-“love”. More when she shared with me that she is going to start making HFs here in our country. I was so excited for her, because I knew she’ll be successful in her plans; and for the mommas and babies of course because they can experience HFs, in a much friendly price and just within their reach. No need to stalk and spend tons for the shipping costs if it’ll be purchased internationally.”

Mommy Roselene added “I’ve seen how FP has started and from then on, I knew in my heart that they will go a long way. We may have a very few pieces from FP but I made sure that Tisoy’s first and last HF diaper (before he was fully potty trained) were Fluffy Pwets. FP will always be a part of our cloth diapering journey. I still kept the 1st HF (from the first batch that they made) that I bought from Tina, wala pang label yung HF na yun. We will forever treasure it and the friendship I made with the momma behind all of these. Thank you for spreading the HF love and keep it up, Fluffy Pwets!”

Happypinaymommy.com’s WAHM of the WEEK#10, Mommy Lan San Juan-Perez of Mother Nurture

Our Work-at-Home Mom of the week is an Intentional Parenting Advocate, a social entrepreneur, a loving wife, and a mom to two adorable kids. She not only supports breastfeeding through her products, she also helps breastfeeding moms earn a side income through reselling of her products. Without further ado, let me present to you our:

Work-at-Home Mommy of the Week#10, Mommy Lan San Juan-Perez of Mother Nurture

Mommy Lan owns Mother Nurture, a company that distributes Breastfeeding Friendly Powdered Beverage Mixes

Mommy Lan owns Mother Nurture, a company that produces Breastfeeding-Friendly Powdered Beverage Mixes like Coffee and Hot Chocolate Drinks.

True to her company’s name, Mommy Lan continues to help nurture breastfeeding mothers through chocolate and coffee mixes that do not only help support lactation. To some moms who patronize her beverage mixes, Mother Nurture also serves as an additional source of income for their respective families through Mother Nurture’s Authorized Reseller’s Program.

Mommy Lan says, what started as a breastfeeding journey, turned into an advocacy. So from a full-time work-out-of-home mom, Mommy Lan has become a social entrepreneur committed to pursuing her breastfeeding advocacy and empowering fellow nursing moms.

Let’s take a peek into the WAHM Life of Mommy Lan, and get inspired to pursue our dreams, and respond to our calling.

Here is an excerpt of our interview with her:

Happy Pinay Mommy: When did you decide to be a WAHM?

Mommy Lan: I worked with several companies, and started to build a family by the age of 24. I continued working full time until I had my second child, which was five years after. When I learned about INTENTIONAL PARENTING (breastfeeding, cloth diapering, baby wearing and homeschooling), that was the time I realised that I wanted to be a full-time home maker. Then unexpectedly, a great opportunity came, from a devoted SAHM I got “promoted” to WAHM.

HPM: What made you decide to be one?

Mommy Lan: In my case, it was not planned. I didn’t even imagined to be a WAHM. Though I came from a family of businessmen. The “business” idea came out of love and my ultimate passion – BREASTFEEDING. That’s why I don’t consider this as work, much more of an advocacy.

Mother Nurture Products

Mother Nurture Products: Malunggay Infused Coffee and Choco Mix for Breastfeeding Mommies

HPM: What is the greatest challenge you have faced in relation to being a WAHM?

Mommy Lan: Time Management – I need to strictly follow my schedule so I can fulfil my role as a wife, mother and entrepreneur. Though it’s challenging, I try my best to be efficient as possible in all three areas.

HPM: What advice can you give to those who may want to become a WAHM?

Mommy Lan: I was invited to share “MY STORY” to one of the schools in Pasig. These are the FOUR Simple and Practical ways to start a business: (1) Be Innovative. Realistic, Useful and with Social Relevance; (2) Be Passionate. Gives you a PURPOSE and LIFE; (3) Be Faithful. It’s not only about you, it should be ALL about HIM. (4) Be Obedient. Once you know what GOD wants you to do, by all means, OBEY.

HPM: Can you tell us more about Mother Nurture, and how it helps fellow mothers through your reselling program?

mother nurture

Helping other people reach their breastfeeding goals. Mommy Lan has successfully pursued her advocacy, empower fellow breastfeeding moms who want to earn a side income, and more importantly be with her kids when they need her. All of these while earning extra income for her family.

Mommy Lan: The business model of Mother Nurture is to support fellow moms. We offer a reseller program to deserving moms who shares the same passion for Breastfeeding. All our resellers are breastfeeding moms either a.) full time working pero still sustain their breastfeeding and excels sa career nila or b) full time home maker who gave up their career for their family. By being an MN Reseller, we are spreading accurate infos about breastfeeding. Main Goal is to educate, encourage and inspire every Filipino family to a sustainable breastfeeding. Also, may added income sila. Malaking help sa finances nila lalo na sa SAHM — parang ako na-promote to become a WAHM.

HPM: Who inspires you?

Mommy Lan: “God, Family and all my fellow breastfeeding moms. ‘When you acquire GOD, you gain EVERYTHING!’ I believe that GOD gave me Mother Nurture for a purpose. This is to reach out to fellow breastfeeding moms, to remind them that Breastfeeding is HIS design. There may be challenges they will surpass it through FAITH and continuous prayers. Next is my family, I want to give them the best of me. Not necessarily with material things, I want them to remember that “Mommy” or “Didi” was there as a PILLAR and to SAVOR. Lastly, my fellow breastfeeding moms. Through Mother Nurture I was able to connect to hundreds of moms. (I’m quite the shy type kasi before). This helped me became more outgoing and confident. It became a venue where you will be able to exchange breastfeeding stories, sharing tips on how to deal certain challenges, encouragement and affirmation from one another was big plus. The fact that they are willing to open up to you was just flattering, even more when i received feedback from them — overwhelming.”

HPM: How does your husband/partner support you?

Mother Nurture

Mommy Lan with her family. “I want to give them the best of me. Not necessarily with material things, I want them to remember that ‘Mommy’ or ‘Didi’ was there as a PILLAR”

Mommy Lan: My husband Anthony is very supportive of what I believe in. Even before Mother Nurture, he had “recruits.” He would talk to his peers in the office, car clubs, etc. educating them how breastfeeding became beneficial to our family. He also understands my stand to “Normalize Breastfeeding”, I don’t cover up while breastfeeding even in public. He also supports me in my decision to extended breastfeeding, we will only stop breastfeeding once my son self-weans. Now, he would help me in packing and shipping orders, he devoted his MWF night to help me pack and ship orders.

HPM: Can you tell us how your usual day/week goes?

Mommy Lan: “Every MWF, I do shipping for Mother Nurture Orders. On an average we ship out to 70 persons, around 500 packs per week. My office hours is every M-F 9-11am, then resumes 5-7pm. I dedicate four hours a day for Mother Nurture, working 20 hours a week.”

Mother Nurture

Mommy Lan has a hectic schedule but she says she makes sure that her family remains to be her top priority.

“Durings TTHSSun, this is when I focus on my kids, especially my eldest who I homeschool. We do reading, researching, cooking, arts and other outdoor activities. Simultaneously, I breastfeed my 29 month old son. On the side, Tuesday Morning is my “sharing day” with my Spiritual Mentor. While every Thursday night is our date night. I don’t work on a weekend and Holidays, (though sometimes tempting), I devote our weekends to our family. Having a break from my so called work, helps keep my sanity.”

“Though my schedule is almost full, I see to it that it’s always balanced. That’s also the beauty of being a WAHM, you can always shift to areas that needed your utmost attention.”

Like in our past WAHM of the WEEK features, we also asked Mommy Lan’s clients about her products.

Mommy Dien Estrella, for instance is happy about how the beverage mixes helped her to have a stable breast milk supply.

mother nurture philippines

Mommy Dien with baby Dylan Kendric, who at 21 months is still breastfeeding.

Mommy Dien says: “all I can say is that, Mother Nurture helped me thru my breastfeeding journey with my son. I am OC about maintaining my milk supply, I would try anything from Malunggay, to malt containing beverages, to lactation cookies. I had all of these, but when I learned about MN (it was great as) it is already complete! I don’t need malunggay because it already has, and plus it’s not that fattening cause it doesn’t have sugar- they use all natural stevia instead. There was a time that I was really into the chocolate flavor that I cant end the day without drinking it. It enhances my milk supply. I even noticed my milk was whiter? Maybe because it enhances the milk. There is a balance of quantity and quality! I love Mother Nurture, thru this way i don’t only get to benefit from the product but I was able to help other mommies as well who order- thru counseling. Thanks to MN, we are more than satisfied.”

Another happy Mother Nurture Client is Mommy Shiela. She does not only enjoy the products, she is also one of Mother Nurture’s authorized re-sellers. “When I gave birth it took two weeks before my milk came out. I tried looking for products that could possibly help to increase my milk production until a friend gave me a sachet of Mother Nurture choco mix. I enjoyed the product and it worked for me as well. I looked for its seller on Instagram, and found out that they are open to re-sellers, so I sent them an email. For now I am not just selling the product because I also aim to inspire other moms to breastfeed, and at the same time I want to show people the importance of breastfeeding. Breastfeeding really inspires me to resell the product. The owner (Mommy Lan) is also very inspiring, (as she is a) well-motivated and God-centered woman.

Happypinaymommy.com’s WAHM of the Week#9 is Mommy Aiko of Little Bubba’s Bum

Our Ninth Work-At-Home Mommy of the Week, is a mom of two adorable little boys. Her love for cloth diapering made her try her hand at sewing, and now she is a proud local WAHM that makes customized, hybrid-fitted diapers that are according to her – are handmade with love.

Without further ado, presenting to you,

Happypinaymommy.com’s WAHM of the WEEK #9, Mommy Aiko Cortuna of Little Bubba’s Bum Cloth Diapers.

Mommy Aiko of Little Bubba's Bum Cloth Diapers

Mommy Aiko of Little Bubba’s Bum Cloth Diapers

Mommy Aiko, as she is fondly known in the cloth diapering community has been sewing hybrid-fitted diapers for more than a year now. Apart from Hybrid fitted diapers, Mommy Aiko now sews Muscle Tees, Raglan Tees, Accessories for Soft Structured Carriers like Tula Baby Carriers, PUL Pockets, Leg Warmers, and more recently HF’s with the baby’s birthstats.

Mommy Aiko says she wants cloth diapering moms to try out hybrid fitted diapers, so she makes an effort to sell her customized diapers at a more affordable price. This while making sure, that each piece is handmade with love – just as if the diapers will be worn by her sons.

Read on the excerpt of our conversation with Mommy Aiko Cortuna of Little Bubba’s Bum Cloth Diapers:

Happypinaymommy: When did you decide to be a WAHM?

Mommy Aiko: I started in October 2014. My little one was 14 months old and has been cloth diapering for six months at that time

HPM: What made you decide to be one?

Mommy Aiko: Honestly, some of my friends were the first to start sewing their own cloth diapers or doing DIY CDs. Then later on I got interested because of the cute prints and the savings so I tried to DIY. I bought a mini sewing machine. At first, I gave my outputs to my FB friends until I started selling/customizing.

HPM: What is the greatest challenge you have faced in relation to being a WAHM?

Mommy Aiko: Time, sleep. I have two kids, I only sew when they are asleep. So I only have limited time in front of the machines.

HPM: What advice can you give to those who may want to become a WAHM?

Little Bubba's Bum

Mommy Aiko and her little boys: Alkim and Aikee.

Mommy Aiko: “Ipagtahi nyo ang customers nyo na parang ipinagtatahi nyo ang anak nyo.” Set aside your bad vibes, enjoy.

HPM: Who inspires you?

Mommy Aiko: My kids, I’m doing this for them

HPM: Can you describe your products?

Little Bubba's Bum Cloth Diapers

Mommy Aiko’s Products: Little Bubba’s Bum Cloth Diapers, Baby Tees and SSC Accessories.

Mommy Aiko: Green and clean. I made them with love. I also want to offer prices which is not so high so many mommies can afford.

Like our past WAHM of the WEEK features, we also asked around about Mommy Aiko’s products.

Mommy Monica, who has a super-fast heavy wetter baby is all praises about Mommy Aiko’s custom made HFs. “Just last week, I started using LBB hf on my baby at night. Boosted with 4-layer hemp cotton fleece insert and with a PUL cover (flairy cloth diaper cover). I was amazed by its performance. 3 hours and there were no leaks. Soakers were only half-soaked. Shell was still dry. To think that it was raining that night. My baby consumes about nine ounces of milk and water in total before dozing off. Tried it again the following night and I got the same result. That’s why I didn’t think twice about “saying mine” on her stocking last August 28. Scored three HFs and a free fitted. Woot!”

Little Bubba's BUm

Mommy Monica on Little Bubba’s Bum:  “One of my first HFs. Got this from her stocking (and at a discounted price). Super squishy probably because it is cotton knit.” She adds: “On average, three hours naglalast with no leaks. Slightly damp minsan sa crotch but not enough that will require a change of outfit (and sheets). I like that the soakers are long as well. Tapos serged pa yun shell kaya it’s bigger than most HFs. Well slightly bigger lang naman. The verdict: I super lurve it.”

Another happy client is Mommy Jheng. “I can say that Little Bubba’s Bum is one of the best local hfs I’ve tried… Her stitches are good and the soakers are very well absorbent… What made me try her work? Uhmm.. I think it started when she was trying to make her own hf, she inspired me to make also but unfortunately i don’t have much patience to sew.. We became online friends as she is very responsive to all of my questions, i was new then to sewing.. As in first time naka hawak ng sewing machine.. i love all of her works.. And by the way lets support local WAHMS.”

Work-at-Home-Mom of the Week: Mommy Jelly Lagman-Victor

Happypinaymommy.com’s WAHM of the Week#8 : Mommy Jelly Lagman-Victor

Happypinaymommy.com’s Work-at-Home Mom of the Week has a long list of happy and satisfied clients, as she makes available super nice and affordable accessories for soft structured-carriers (SSCs). She is of course, a baby-wearing mom to her adorable baby girl, Audrina and she finds so much bliss in being a wife and a mother.

Without further ado, let me introduce to you:

Happypinaymommy.com’s Work-at-Home-Mom of the Week: Mommy Jelly Lagman-Victor of The Baby Depot Manila

banner collage

Ask any member of The Baby Depot Manila (TBDM) Facebook Group and they’d say that this FB Group is one of the happiest and most enjoyable they have joined and this is because Mommy jelly makes it super, super lively with her sharing, games, and of course, online friendship.

Of course, the baby-wearing mommy members are all waiting for the latest designs and stocking of TBDM’s accessories for Soft-Structured Carriers or SSCs, plus other products like bandana bibs, and Audri dresses.

Before getting married, Mommy Jelly worked abroad. When she became a wife and a mom, she decided to stay home. Her entrepreneurial heart though tugged at her, so while parenting 24/7, she established TBDM, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Sharing with you excerpts of our conversation with Mommy Jelly:

HappyPinayMommy: When did you decide to be a WAHM?

Mommy Jelly: I have always been an entrepreneur at heart. But technically, I became a WAHM since May 2014, 3 months after giving birth to my daughter, Audrina.

=============================================================

HPM: What made you decide to be one?

Mommy Jelly: I am an independent and enterprising person. Even while I was still studying in college, I was already working for a market research company. At the age of 20, I left my home and family to start a new life as an OFW in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Those were some of the best years of my life. I decided to come back to the Philippines when I got engaged to be married. Being a wife and mother is bliss! But I missed earning for myself, so I decided to put up an online business selling locally sourced fabrics and stuff for babies bought from the US. Now TBDM has grown and transformed, selling more products and reaching out to more customers.

HPM: What is the greatest challenge you have faced in relation to being a WAHM?

Mommy Jelly: The greatest challenge? Definitely time management! Haha. Admittedly, I’m not great in time management and having a clingy, curious and active toddler plus a new day job makes having a schedule to stick to impossible. I am mostly without help in running my online business, so my day and nights are crazy busy!

HPM: What advice can you give to those who may want to become a WAHM?

Mommy Jelly: It may sound cliché, but stick to something you love. Whether it be sewing, baking, teaching, etc, focus on something you will enjoy doing. I love babywearing and collecting carriers so I got the idea of making and selling accessories for soft structured carriers (SSCs). Up to now The Baby Depot Manila is primarily known for our inexpensive but quality SSC accessories. Which leads me to my second piece of advice, don’t be obsessed with making money. Of course you have to earn something, you are running a business after all. Price your items fairly. Be genuinely nice to your clients and treat them as friends, not merely people who patronize your business.

SSC Accessories

Mommy Jelly on her products: “We are known for our quality but affordable SSC accessories. They are functional and adorable. Suck pads protect the straps of your SSC from your little drool monsters. Babies just love to chew on the straps so our suck pads are a must! The slip cover also protects your Tula (we only make covers for Tulas) from spills and stains. At the same time they change the whole look of your carrier. It’s like getting a brand new Tula for a small fraction of the price!”

HPM: Who inspires you?

Mommy Jelly: My clients turned friends inspire me! Hearing or reading words of appreciation from them makes me want to do better. Totally warms my heart knowing that they are satisfied by our products. Being around young entrepreneurs inspire me too. I work with a group of smart, intelligent people under 35. Their success inspires me to reach for higher goals.

HPM: How does your husband/partner support you?

wow 8 hubs

The love of Mommy Jelly’s Life: Her supportive husband

Mommy Jelly: I am blessed to have such an easy going and supportive husband. Honestly, he doesn’t have much say in the business I run—it’s all me. But I’m so thankful that he puts up with all the mess in the house. Our house is transformed into a stockroom/warehouse filled with fabrics, clothes and other products, but he doesn’t complain! For Christmas I’m going to ask for my own mini warehouse where I can store my goods. I hope he will give in, haha!

HPM: Can you tell us how your usual day/week goes?

audri dresses

More than just SSC accessories. Mommy Jelly offers other baby-related creations. “The AUDRI dress is also another one of our bestsellers. Named after my daughter Audrina, I get them from a neighbor supplier. They’re made of premium cotton fabric and are beautiful to wear when going out but also very comfortable to wear at home. I have sold thousands of Audri’s in the past few months and I am proud to have created a brand name that stuck. Some of our newest additions to our product line are our bandana bibs and BIG bibs. Made of locally sourced but imported 100% US designer cotton, they again combine cuteness and functionality. Very affordable at P80 and P100 respectively.”

Mommy Jelly: On days when I have to go to work, I wake up at 5AM to get ready. Need to leave the house by 6:30AM to beat the morning rush to my office in Quezon City (I live in Rizal). Work, squeeze in Facebook, work, answer TBDM emails, and work til 5PM. Drive back home. Reach home at around 6PM. Yaya leaves and I take over. I feed Audrina, bathe her and breastfeed her to sleep. Then I work on snapping and packaging our SSC accessories, packing orders to be shipped the next day or answer inquiries. I usually sleep at 12MN. I also source for fabrics and other materials and supervise production. But despite the busyness with online selling and working by day, I have an active social life. I enjoy going out with my college barkada, my girlfriends, my mommy friends and of course my family. Needless to say, I don’t have an idle minute to spare!

A happy mommy still makes time for friends. Mommy Jelly and her friends.

A happy mommy still makes time for friends. Mommy Jelly and her girlfriends.

Like in our past WAHM of the Week Features we also asked around about Mommy Jelly’s products, and definitely her clients are raving about her products.

Mommy Blossom for instance, super-super adores TBDM Products. “I so love TBDM mainly because of 1) Quality and affordable products 2) seamless and quick transactions 3) very kind seller. She has become really successful over the last few months (or maybe years), but she keeps her feet on the ground. She is still the same kind, accommodating mompreneur as when I first ordered from her a few months back. She has her heart on the right place, helping other people in need, even hosting and donating for raffles for a cause. These are the things that keep us coming back for more!”

Mommy Blossom with Baby Ace

Another happy TBDM Client is Mommy Iya. “I’ve always been a hoarder and TBDM allows me to buy a lot of things for my baby without hurting my pocket. The seller, Jelly, is also nice and understands how expensive baby stuff are and she makes sure her merchandise are priced reasonably. The designs are all adorable and eye candies. Also, you’ll love “hanging out” in her group because her games are unique and definitely fun. She sure knows that every mom deserves a break.”

Mommy Iya, and Baby JJ, whom she’s been babywearing since he is two months old.

Mommy Tricia on the other hand is one of the many, many happy TBDM Members. She actually won a Tula Carrier. “If it weren’t for The Baby Depot Manila’s raffles, then I wouldn’t have a Tula carrier by spending only one hundred pesos! It is also heartwarming how Mommy Jelly is being able to help other mommies in making income by letting them resell some Audri dresses.”

tbdm Weinmann Gonzales

Shown in the photo is Mommy Tricia’s Husband, Weinmann, and their son six month old baby Ciann in a Tula Brave.

Mommy Julie Anne Ramirez on the other hand is a proud TBDM fan. “The Baby Depot Manila is a place for everyone. It’s a lively page both for working at home moms and stay at home moms. When I first knew the page, I thought the items being sold were expensive but I was wrong. I was able to purchase my Tula set at a very reasonable price. I am a repeat and will always be a repeat customer because I am so satisfied with the service and the product. It got me interested to be one of her many ‘suki’ when I learned that TBDM is not just mainly about profit but also about helping the people behind it. It’s like when you buy at TBDM, you also help the family of the sewer, the ‘boy’ and many of her helpers too.”

julie ann

Proud TBDM Fan: Mommy Juie Anne’s Tula Accessories, and her Baby’s bibs are purchased from TBDM

Mommy Malay is another proud TBDM “suki.” “Here’s why I highly recommend TBDM: 1. Cute prints – TBDM’s SSC accessories makes my Tula have a more stylish look. The suck pads serve as fashionable teething pads as well. 2. Audri dress – Na-cu-cute-an ang lahat ng nakakakita sa LO ko while she is on a Audri dress. It can definitely be used pa for a long time (currently as a dress for my 7-month old LO, and then as a pretty top in her toddler years) 3. Reasonable price – P300 for 6 pieces Audri dress.. definitely a good bargain! 4. Games, games, games –If may pa-game si Ms. Jelly, my mindset is I NEED to join. Though I have not won YET, very worth it naman ang effort and time mo because you get the TBDM items as a prize 5. Very Fast transaction – I usually get my package only one day after I send info on payment.”

Our Work-at-Home Mommy-of-the-Week is a Doctor, turned Blogger and You Tube Channel Owner, turned Owner of Baby Lamb, the ONLY local handmade cloth diaper brand that makes WOOLIES.

Without further ado, let me introduce to you:

Happypinaymommy.com’s Work-at-Home-Mom of the Week: Mommy Clarissa Ababan-Banez of Baby Lamb:

Mommy Clarissa essentially gave Cloth Diapering Moms in the Philippines the chance to use handmade woolies through her own Cloth Diaper brand: Baby Lamb.

Mommy Clarissa essentially gave Cloth Diapering Moms in the Philippines the chance to use handmade woolies through her own Cloth Diaper brand: Baby Lamb.

Mommy Clarissa’s WAHM story is very inspiring. I actually learned a lot from the interview I had with her and her happy clients. I know some cloth diapering moms like me are intimidated with wool, but Mommy Clarissa gives us a chance to experience how woolies work, and at the same time through her products, debunk impressions that wool is very hard to maintain and that it is expensive.

Anyway, going back to her being a Work-at-Home-Mom, she said she decided to work from home as she wants to be present in her daughter’s formative years. Being a WAHM, helped her achieve her goal of spending a lot of time with her daughter, and at the same time help in the family’s finances.

Sharing with you excerpts of this very informative and inspiring conversation with Mommy Clarissa.

Happypinaymommy: When did you decide to be a WAHM?

Mommy Clarissa: I started The Baby Lamb in January 2015. But prior to being married and while studying, I have been able to “work at home” through blogging and my YouTube channel. I had to stop doing that after I gave birth since I barely had the time to produce content and to be honest, I lost the drive to purchase new beauty products (I used to run a beauty channel). I became addicted to baby items instead, particularly cloth diapers! I also started making my own Wool Covers since nobody in the country are making them. I found out how amazing they work and of course, I wanted to share it with other moms! Now, I’m also expanding my product line to Hybrid Fitteds, Fleece-in-Twos (Fi2), and CD-friendly pants.

HPM: What made you decide to be one?

Mommy Clarissa: The decision to work at home came really easy for me. I wanted to be present in my daughter’s formative years. I just graduated from medicine when I had my daughter and I really couldn’t see a career path for me that would allow me to do that and earn as a doctor. But I wanted to help my husband with our finances. I’ve always dreamed of being a successful entrepreneur as well so I felt that this is the right path for me.

Lamb Woolies in the Philippines

From the Baby Lamb website: Baby Lamb Woolies are the perfect diaper cover for your little one! Each cover is handcrafted from 100% Virgin Wool which makes them very absorbent, leak proof but very breathable.

HPM: What is the greatest challenge you have faced in relation to being a WAHM?

Mommy Clarissa: Time and Money. Finding time to work is one of the most difficult challenge for me. I can only work while my daughter is taking a nap or after her bedtime. We also don’t have any helpers. It’s just me, my husband and my baby in the house. I’m really thankful that my husband works at home 50-70% of the time so we both do house chores together.

It was very difficult for me acquire sufficient capital. I didn’t want to just ask my husband for money to fund the business. I never had a full-time job after graduating so I don’t have any savings of my own. I started really small. It was a slow process. I was not even sure if my Woolies would sell, to be honest. Most of my earnings would go back to getting materials. Now, I am finally able to invest on an industrial sewing machine so I can make cloth diapers faster.

Lamb Woolies in the Philippines:

Lamb Woolies in the Philippines: According to Mommy Clarissa’s Website “Woolies repels water. Sheep’s wool contains lanolin and it forms a natural water repelling barrier on wool fibers. This keeps the moisture from leaking out.”

HPM: What advice can you give to those who may want to become a WAHM?

My advise is to really look at your priorities in life. Are you in the right path? If you feel that you’re not, take a moment to think where you will be happy the most. Take courage to do what you love. Life is short to spend grueling days doing work that you do not love. But do it smartly! Research and learn the path that you are about to take, don’t set yourself up for failure.

HPM: Who inspires you?

baby lamb woolies in the philippines

They inspire her. Mommy Clarissa with her parents, Dad Emil and Mom Evelyn.

Mommy Clarissa: My mom and dad inspire me the most. They also worked at home and supported us through their business. Our “tindahan” has always been adjoined with our home so they were always there for us when we were growing up. Hopefully, I’ve inherited some of their business-smarts. I’ll always remember how they started with just 13 cases of RC Cola to sell. Now they have two warehouses full of products to sell.

Mommy Clarissa’s family. She says her husband is her Number One Fan.

HPM: How does your husband/partner support you?

My husband is my number one fan. Haha. I really appreciate it when he says, “Wow, ikaw may gawa niyan?” It boosts my confidence in my workmanship. I am a perfectionist and tend to see a lot of “flaws” in my work. But whenever he sees my work, I feel that I did great job. He’s always been so supportive and understanding. Also, he’s been in charge of the cooking lately and I super appreciate his help with the house chores.

HPM: Tell us about your latest project

Apart from Woolies, Mommy Clarissa also makes Hybrid Fitted Diapers.

Apart from Woolies, Mommy Clarissa also makes Hybrid Fitted Cloth Diapers.

Mommy Clarissa: I’m currently focusing on making custom hybrid fitteds. I’ve been doing these Birth Stat HFs and it’s really having creative control of the design. I think it’s the perfect birthday diaper and definitely perma-stash material. My designing process might take a while, but I really want to see the theme of the nappy come to life with my designs.

Like in our past WAHM of the Week Features we also asked around bout Mommy Clarissa’s products, and definitely her clients are raving about Baby Lamb Cloth Diapers.

Fellow WAHM Mommy Babie says the Baby Lamb woolie is super reliable. “it’s the one thing we use that hasn’t failed us yet. We pair the woolie with any hybrid fitted or fitted and it’s always reliable and doesn’t smell bad until you remove the wool off the baby. It’s also low maintenance and I’ve only washed ours twice.”

lamb woolie in the Philippines

Mommy Babie’s Little One uses Cloth diapers exclusively, and here, she is wearing her Baby Lamb Woolie. She is two years old. “PooppeeTrap OS Lampwet & Baby Lamb Woolie, bulletproof nighttime combo. Not bulky at all.”

Mommy Babie advises cloth diapering moms who may want to give woolies a try, that it is best to pair it with fitted diapers. “If you use an HF, it gets bulky because of the shell. But if you use a fitted, there are no excess materials so it’s not as bulky. Mas comfortable for baby.” She also debunked notions that it is hard to use, or super high maintenance: “Two days even with warm weather. But at least you don’t have to wash and re lanolize often. Mas tipid sya actually…Imagine using a cheap fitted or lampin then woolie. That’s a lot cheaper than using any system kahit pa pockets.”
She adds, “Baby Lamb is a great and promising local brand. Everyone should have at least one woolie.”

Another wool fan is Mommy Ria who has been searching for woolies prior to her discovery of Baby Lamb. “I like that we can make our fitteds and hybrid fitteds last thru the night when we put a cover. I hate putting PUL covers because it’s not breathable thus, the wool. Also I like that it’s low maintenance nga.”

A photo of Mommy Ria’s Little One wearing her Baby Lamb Woolie.

A photo of Mommy Ria’s Little One wearing her Baby Lamb Woolie (HF in Photo is from Mommy Ria’s stash).

Mommy Ria agrees with Mommy Babie’s thoughts on woolies. “I agree with what Babie said that everyone should have at least one woolie! But now I want two! Kasi I sometimes use a PUL cover on our fitteds but I really want to use wool because it’s more presko. Super tagal lang matuyo when you re-lanolize. So i need at least 2. We now use kasi mostly fitteds at night. Para all day presko day.”

Mommy Christelle is another Baby Lamb fan. “I have one woolie and HF… I LOVE the customized design and the soaker is really nice.”

She adds “Great customer service. Sis Clarissa tried her best to get my order to me for our photoshoot. it didnt make it due to an issue with the fabric supplier but I so appreciate the effort she made, and she made sure that I got it on time for my baby’s birthday.”

So there you have it. Hope you have gained good mommy insights from the WAHM Life of Mommy Clarissa, as she imparted her experiences as a work-at-home-mommy. She is one of the most recommended online sellers of cloth diaper brands such as Alva and Babyland. She eventually came up with her own Cloth Diaper Line, and she says she is happy she is able to promote cloth diapering while being with her family 24/7.

Happypinaymommy.com’s Work-at-Home-Mom of the Week #5 is Mommy Maricor Fernandez of EcoPwet Cloth Diapers and Vezees’ Closet.

Happypinaymommy.com’s Work-at-Home-Mom of the Week: Mommy Maricor of Vezees Closet and EcoPwet Cloth Diapers

Just like the other moms whom we have featured in our WAHM of the Week Series, Mommy Maricor said what prompted her to give working at home a try is to have more time with her kids and husband. She said there are but it is all worth it.

And like what I have been saying in our past WAHM of the WEEK posts, this WAHM of the Week series is meant to give other working moms who are considering the idea of working from home, to get a glimpse on the life of work-at-home-moms. And at the risk of sounding like a broken record, I will again say that the series is not meant to sideline stay-at-home-moms or work-out-of-the-home-mommies. This is all just meant to inspire those who are fed up with the epic traffic crisis gripping our country that yes, working from home is feasible. More importantly, like the rest of this blog, the series is of course meant to promote positive motherhood vibes.

Here is an excerpt of our interview with Mommy Maricor:

Happypinayommy: When did you decide to be a WAHM?

Mommy Maricor: At first I was hesitant to leave my day job, but going to work everyday eventually took a toll on me. It was hard at first, but having time for family was all worth it.

HPM: What made you decide to be one?

Mommy Maricor: I decided to grab the opportunity where I can earn extra to be with my family, as well as educate FTMs (first-time mothers) to save and help others earn extra by selling cloth diapers that eventually lead to other baby products. We will actually celebrate our second year anniversary this October.

HPM: What is the greatest challenge you have faced in relation to being a WAHM?

Mommy Maricor: Juggling my time between my kiddos, answering inquiries and preparing orders is hard, sometimes 24 hours is not enough, but you need to find a way to manage them. I always make sure to ship items on the same day after cut off so that my clients can receive their orders on time. There are also “doubts and what if’s at first,” but managing my own time and being with my family is all worth it.

HPM: What advice can you give to those who may want to become a WAHM?

Mommy Maricor: Managing your time is essential. Know your priorities. Family comes first but have time to answer inquiries of your clients. If you decide to have an online store for example, check first your options, research about the product that you will offer, the “needs and wants” of your customers, how you will market your product and have a lot of patience.

happypinaymommy.com's WAHM of the Week

Just this year, Mommy Maricor launched her own line of Cloth Diapers: The Ecopwet.

HPM: Who inspires you?

Mommy Maricor: My family, being with them 24/7 inspire me to be able to provide them a good future ahead. I am always thankful to God for blessing me with this opportunity to be a WAHM.

happypinaymommy.com's WAHM of the Week

According to Mommy Maricor, being a WAHM is so challenging but it is all worth it as she gets to be with her family 24/7

HPM: How does your husband/partner support you?

Mommy Maricor: My hubby is very supportive on my venture. He even do meetups when I’m not available as I’m still looking over my two kiddos.

Mommy Maricor is happy about having her own cloth diaper line. “As a cloth diaper user, I wanted to offer the best option to all moms. Doing my research and based on my customers feedback, I decided to have a pocket type pure charcoal cloth diaper with double gusset inner that comes with a 5-layer charcoal insert with snap. This eventually lead to our own brand EcoPwet. EcoPwet 4.0 is just our first design option, you can look forward to more designs in the future.”

happypinaymommy.com's WAHM of the Week

The EcoPwet Cloth Diapers is Mommy Maricor’s own cloth diaper brand. She also helps other moms earn extra money through reselling.

We also interviewed some of Mommy Maricor’s clients. Mommy Nerizza says she loves EcoPwet and Vezees Closet because the diapers are great and at the same time, the customer service excellent.

Eco Pwet CLoth Diapers

Mommy Nerrizza’s Little Allyza, comfortably wearing EcoPwet Cloth Diapers.

“I’m starting to love the cloth diaper since it is cost-effective in the long run. Especially the Ecopwet from Vezees because it is budget-friendly and absorbent. It stays long for about 4-6 hours. I love the designs as well! Vezees is very accommodating too and nice that’s why I only purchase my CDs from her store. The payment is very convenient (as well as it is) by money transfer via Smart money. Having said these, I recommended her to other Moms who are not using CD yet”

Mommy Evans Ramos is another loyal client. She is about to give birth soon, and she stocked up on cloth diapers from Mommy Maricor’s online store. “Budget-friendly kasi and hassle-free ang transaction. As in nagpuyat ako ng ilang gabi para icompare ang prices ng mga online cloth diaper shops pero kay Vezees pa rin ang bagsak ko.”

Eco Pwet CLoth Diapers

Preggy Mom, Mommy Evans Ramos bought Cloth Diapers for her little one from Mommy Maricor.

She adds, “since FTM ako, I was able to ask her re CD-ing and mabilis naman ang response kahit madaling araw na. Mabilis din ang padala, once nabayaran before cut-off, rest-assured kinabukasan andyan na ang fluffy mail mo. Super satisfied ako sa service kaya I have recommended her sa friends and sis-in-law ko na preggies din.”

Happypinaymommy.com's Work-at-Home-Mommy of the Week

Happypinaymommy.com’s Work-at-Home-Mommy of the Week#4 is Mommy Gini Pagkatipunan

Happypinaymommy.com’s fourth Work-at-Home-Mommy of the week is a young and pretty Online English Teacher and a mother to two kids.

Like most of the WAHMs we have featured, she tried her hand at finding a work-from-home career to get to spend more time with her kids.

Without further ado, let me introduce to you happypinaymommy.com’s fourth WAHM of the WEEK, Mommy Gini Pagkatipunan.

Happypinaymommy.com's Work-at-Home-Mommy of the Week

At one point in her parenting career, mommy Gini studied, worked, and mothered all at the same time. She says Working From Home gave her more time with her children.

Mommy Gini works from home for about six hours every day, from Monday to Saturday, as an Online English Tutor.

And like what I have been saying in our past WAHM of the WEEK posts, this series is meant to inspire moms who are seriously considering the idea of working from home — that yes, it is feasible. And at the risk of sounding like a broken record, i will again say that  the series is not meant to sideline stay-at-home-moms or work-out-of-the-home-mommies. This is all just meant to promote positive motherhood vibes.

So here it is, hope you can be inspired with Mommy/Teacher Gini’s story. Here is an excerpt of our conversation with her:

Happypinaymommy (HPM): When did you decide to be a WAHM/WFHM?

Mommy Gini: I decided to be a WAHM two years ago when the travel became unbearable for me and the only time that I can give my son was a few hours in the evening. I am a young mom and I continued my studies after having him. So on top of that, I decided to work as an office-based Online English Teacher. I had to wake up at 5am to get to work by 6am. I’ll be out by 11am and be at school by 12 or 1pm. I usually go home around 6 or 7pm. By that time, my son is already getting to bed. It was exhausting and depressing.

(Post continued below)

==================================================================

HPM: What made you decide to be one?

Mommy Gini: I got tired of working in an office when it got to the point when my son told my mom that I do not have enough time for him anymore. That I cannot be there for him when he needs me. So I decided to look for a job that will be more convenient for me and my son. It took a while to look for the right job. When I found it, I grabbed it and it is where I am up until now.

HPM: What is the greatest challenge you have faced in relation to being a WAHM?

Mommy Gini: The greatest challenge is time management. Even if you work at home, you still feel like the time is too short and it is not enough. In times like these, I just think on the bright side. At least I do not have to leave for work anymore. No more transportation and food for work allowances. And the best part is that I can be with my kids again in a snap.

HPM: What advice can you give to those who may want to become a WAHM?

Mommy Gini: Best advice that I can give is to think it over. Make sure that you will be ready for what is coming. I know not everybody will be easily comfortable in working at home especially when they’re already used to working in an office. Keep in mind that you should also think about what will make you happy. However, I can assure them that in the end, the risk will all be worth it. And I think their kids will also thank them for it when they grow up.

happypinaymommy

Mommy Gini and her Family. She says the best part of Working From Home is that She “can be with the kids in a snap.”

HPM: Who inspires you?

Mommy Gini: My inspiration are the little humans that talk and walk loudly in the other room while I work. Every time I feel like I am getting too tired (or too lazy) to work, I think and realize that I am doing all of these for them. I’ve sacrificed a lot and I will not hesitate to do it over and over again. Knowing that you will be greeted by happy faces once you open the door like you’ve been miles away gives me more reason to work at home.

HPM: How does your partner support you?

Mommy Gini: My partner wasn’t able to realize at first how hard it was for me to work-at-home and look after the kids at the same time. He thought that it was an easy job. We had our issues and trials. Still in the end, he was able to understand and give a comforting hug everytime I feel tired and stressed. He tries to look after the kids as much as possible to give me some relaxation time.

happypinaymommy.com

Mommy Gini has a flexible working schedule, which allows her to tend to the needs of the children.

We also asked Mommy Gini to give us a rough picture of how her day/week goes, so that you my dear readers will have an idea what goes on in the daily life of a mom and a full time online English teacher.

Mommy Gini: I work 6 days a week, roughly 6-7 hours a day. I have a flexible working schedule.

Mondays to Thursdays – my day starts at 5:30AM cause I have to get Kuya ready for school. Once he’s off to school by 6:30AM, I get ready for my first class which is from 7am to 8 or 9am.

9am-11:30am is either nap time or play time with my bunso. It’s also bunso’s bath time.

Around 11:30am-12:30pm is lunch time. I’m lucky cause we have our personal chef: my mom! J

If students booked my lesson, then I’ll have to work from 1pm-3pm.

3pm-5pm is kids time and Kuya’s assignment time.

I’m back to work from 5pm-7pm.

7pm-9pm is kids time again. I give them their evening bath and we have dinner.

9pm-11pm is working time again. Or sometimes if I’m feeling productive, I work ’til 12midnight.

I also try to squeeze in some cleaning time during my breaks.

Fridays and Saturdays – the schedule in the morning is basically the same. I just do not work in the evening cause it is daddy-and-me/family time.

Sunday is day-off! It is also our church day. Yey! Which means rest day from being a teacher but still a full-time job for mom.

************************
So there you have it. Hope you have somehow been inspired on how Mommy Gini manages her online job and then tending to the needs of  her family. Happypinaymommy.com’s WAHM of the Week #3: Josanne Robles Luistro

Happypinaymommy.com’s Work-at-Home-Mommy of the Week is a one-of-a-kind WAHM as she not only works at home, she also has a daytime job that according to her, is very challenging.

An Exclusively Cloth Diapering Mom, she has been sewing cloth diapers, baby dresses, as well as other handmade baby clothing since 2014, and have started selling her products in 2015. Now her products are sought after by CDing mommies, and she has a long queue of custom orders for her to work on.

As I have said in all of our past WAHM of the WEEK features, this series of posts is meant to honor work-at-home-moms who try hard to strike a balance between working from home and taking care of their family’s needs. It is also meant to inspire those who are still on the fence if they’d give working at home a try. In this particular post, it may also prove that yes, we can earn extra income from our hobbies even if we have day jobs.

Again the series is not meant to sideline stay-at-home-moms or work-out-of-the-home mommies. This is all just meant to promote positive motherhood vibes.

So, without further ado, presenting to all of you, our Happypinaymommy.com’s WAHM of the WEEK #3, Mommy Josanne Robles-Luistro of Butt Talks! Cloth Diapers.

Happypinaymommy.com’s Work-at-Home-Mom of the Week #3: Josanne Robles Luistro

Mommy Josanne loves sewing even at the wee hours of the morning. Here is an action shot she sent me at around 2AM 🙂

Here’s an excerpt of our interview with Mommy Josanne:

HappyPinayMommy: When did you decide to be a WAHM?

Mommy Josanne: (I presently have a day job but) I started BUTT Talks! in March 8, 2015. Hand-stitched my first Hybrid Fitted Diaper (HFs) in December 2014 and though you may find it hard to believe, got my first sewing machine in February 2015 at dun lang ako nag-aral magtahi

HappyPinayMommy: What made you decide to get into it?

Mommy Josanne: HFs are quite pricey and dahil namamahalan ako eh why not make my own.Now I know bakit mahal. Then I want to be an advocate of something good. So ayun, ako ay breastfeeding, cloth diapering and baby wearing advocate.

(And a bit of history), I became a member of MCNP (sometime) in July 2014 after a month of giving birth to Yuri. Just like other moms, I started Yuri’s stash with China nappies and was able to ECD him in August 2014. I got tempted to buy a second-hand HF in October 2014 and again like most moms, got hooked with the idea of “presko time.”

Then I was able to buy from a WAHM, then by November 2014, I bumped into Cloth Diaper Sewing Pinays. I came across other moms trying to make HFs so I searched on where to buy fabrics and sewing notions and by December (that same year), I purchased a starter set from Fabrix Unlimited (diaper cut of outer layer, polyfleece and cotton velour). I don’t have yet a sewing machine then so I hand-stitched the first HF to test if I can make one. (And I was able to) — The first nappy that I was able to sew is still a part of Yuri’s nappy rotation. Then I bought a snap plier because I don’t want to use velcro.

After I realized na kaya kong gumawa, I bought OMI, my first sewing machine in February 2015.

I then thought of a catchy name. Took me almost two weeks. I want a trade mark that can catch the attention of most moms. Lots of names. But God is good. I was able to bump into BUTT Talks! which sound like “buttocks.”

Happypinaymommy: What advice can you give to those who may want to become a WAHM?

Mommy Josanne: know your capacities. I believe we are not talking of just nappy making right? Know what you want to do, then do it with love, with passion. I am passionate about this nappy-making thing ever since I created my first. I think it shows naman in my work.

Happypinaymommy.com’s Work-at-Home-Mom of the Week #3: Josanne Robles Luistro

Mommy Josanne says she gets some sort of adrenaline rush while working on projects. Here are her latest ones.

Happypinaymommy: Who inspires you?

Mommy Josanne: My children. I want them to have a better future. I want them to know that I am making “gabi as araw” as the famous song “Anak” says. hahaha. All for them

Mommy Josanne’s Family Photo. According to her, her husband is very supportive about her craft, and even sleeps on the couch while she sews her HFs during the wee hours of the morning. She adds her kids are her inspiration.

Happypinaymommy: How does your husband support you?

Mommy Josanne: He cuts and snaps (the nappies)? And sometimes he rewinds my bobbins. He sews the bags for the finished products and is my delivery man to Abest.

Happypinaymommy.com’s Work-at-Home-Mom of the Week #3: Josanne Robles Luistro

Butt Talks! Has joined the Minion Craze as well. An in-demand print.

We also interviewed some of Mommy Josanne’s Loyal clients.

Mommy Joanne Quitoriano-Mangubat said what made her decide to try Mommy Josanne’s Hybrid Fitted Diapers is her quest for the right HF fit for her baby. “Panay bisita ko sa mga group page nang mga local wahms, until nagpost sya nang FLASH SALE, the black and white elephant halftie nga, lesser than SP. Di ako nagdalawang isip na, mag-MINE. Sakto kase need ni LO, nang diaper for his first birthday nun, then, nasabe ko nga na birthday, when the nappy arrived, may freebie agad or lets say birthday gift si LO, napaka-generous lang ni Mommy Josanne, and nagpaturo ako sa kanya, pano ang tamang pagsuot, tinuruan niya ako, approachable. In there, di ako nagsisi na kinuha yung item na yun, worth it e.”

And then she continues, “Nagamit ko agad, as outgoing nappy nun, lasted us for four hours, first use ah! I mean, nagamit ni LO. Lol. Until, sa kanya na ako kumuha nang second batch ko, dalawang item na, kase sa kanya lang ako may nakitang character print na gusto ko, tried SERGED, pinagbigyan niya ako sa request ko,”

Happypinaymommy.com’s Work-at-Home-Mom of the Week #3: Josanne Robles Luistro

Mommy Joanna loves Butt Talks! HFs on her Little One’s Bum.

When asked what she likes most about Mommy Josanne’s nappies, she said it was the thought that Josanne puts so much effort in the diapers that she makes. “Most of our HFs, is Butt Talks! We have six. What I like the most, well not just the kind of fabric kase lahat naman nang LOCAL WAHMS, merong same type of Fabric, but how Josanne made it, ramdam mong with Love talaga, kase bum cut, kahit di mo irequest, alam niya na yun dapat ang nasa bum, makikita mo, creativity niya thru color combinations of tabs, snaps, inner, kahit sa thread, and being unique, and selfless, kase she modifies her pattern. She (also considers) how long our LOs gonna use it. Also, like what i said earlier, malakeng bulas si LO, and as of now, si BUTT TALKS! ang ok ang fit para kay LO, tipong pangmatagalan talaga, di agad ma-a-outgrown. Every details of each nappy is superb. Kaya nga everytime nakikita kong suot ni LO, paulit ulit kong sinasabe, “ang ganda noh.” It is one of the BEST.

Another Butt Talks! Fan is Mommy Cathy Ramirez-Pe. “If I had enough money, I will hoard more. Pero sa dadalawang pirasong Butt Talks! ko, I can say na I can feel the feeling of having an exceptional piece of CD in the CD world.”

She says Butt Talks! is really a great cloth diaper brand. “I can say, Butt Talks! is a masterpiece. It is perfect for baby’s butt and super comfy. My Hello Kitty and Sofia the First HFs are for my baby’s going out diapers and night time nappy. It can last up to five to six hours. My baby’s skin is very sensitive that is why I prefer to use HFs at night.”

Happypinaymommy.com’s Work-at-Home-Mom of the Week #3: Josanne Robles Luistro

Mommy Cathy’s Baby wearing Hello Kitty HFs from Butt Talks!

To elaborate to you dear readers how happy Mommy Cathy is about the HFs she has, she has actually lent Happypinaymommy.com one of her little one’s OTB shot of a Butt Talks! nappy which we in turn used for another post. Here is the photo she lent us:

Happypinaymommy.com’s Work-at-Home-Mom of the Week #3: Josanne Robles Luistro

Mommy Cathy’s Little One. This is the same photo Happypinaymommy used in our earlier post on Local WAHMs that make Hybrid Fitted Diapers. Thank you again Mommy Cathy.

Mommy Cathy adds, she just appreciates the passion complemented with sincerity of Mommy Josanne. “I think, for her hindi lang yun basta pagtatahi. Para bang sa bawat nappy na nabubuo nia, ginagawa nia para sa anak nya, or sa anak ng mga kaibigan nya. Kumbaga, yung labor of love is for free talaga sa kanya. Kasi sa totoo lang, kung marunong akong manahi, hindi ko magagawang ibenta ang gawa ko sa ganung halaga. Hehehe sa pagod palang abonado kana. (And) masasabi ko pulido kasi ang gawa nya. At madalas ko mapansin, halos walang nag bebenta ng Butt Talks! products kahit EUC. Kasi nga, susulitin talaga ang pinagawa. May extrang love notes pa yan saying that she appreciates you as her customer and she will tell u that she enjoyed sewing your child’s nappy and that she made it with love. As if ba yung anak nya talaga ang mag susuot.”

Another Butt Talks! client is Mommy Gelai Camungao-Fontanilla. She said her love for “genius” prints made her try Mommy Josanne’s line. “I met Mommy Josanne, the wonderful person behind Butt Talks. Unfortunately, that particular fabric is no longer available even with her supplier. We exhausted possible resources. I posted on a “looking for” thread. Little did I know, there is one very kind momma who has a spare of this fabric. Josanne took charge of everything. I paid my dues and waited for 10-14 days. Finally, the long wait is over. I received the parcel. It was so fluffy, I’m gonna die! lol I was deeply in love with the nappy. I eagerly checked all the details. No flaws, no frays, you can see even stitches. It was really made with so much love in a span of two beautiful weeks. The materials used are indeed high class. Did I say it has been pre-washed too? Yes they are really ready to kiss our little one’s butt upon arriving from the mail.”

happypinaymommy

Mommy Gelai’s Adorable Baby Z wearing a Butt Talks! Stargazer pocket HF.
According to her the Outer is made of US Cotton woven. Hidden is special polyfleece
and the inner is made of a combo of one-layer cotton fleece, one-layer bamboo charcoal with antimicrobial properties, one-layer organic hemp. The booster is a one-layer zorb2 diamonds

Mommy Gelai added that what she likes most about Mommy Josanne’s nappies is its great quality. “I love all the nappies that I bought from her. As of now, we have four stash from Butt Talks including our pre orders. Also, Josanne made the first accessory of our very first Tula. She never missed to call my attention if she has a new genius print. So I guess our stash will get bigger in time. All in all, this nappy brand is really excellent. You will never be ashamed to recommend it to anybody. It is globally competitive. A world class dipe. Thus, it deserves every cloth diapering mom’s heart.”

So that wraps up our Happypinaymommy.com’s third WAHM of the Week feature. Hope you have somehow been inspired with Mommy Josanne’s story.
