Sometimes in our daily routine as moms, the endless cooking, dishwashing, and laundry seem daunting. We end up complaining, and sometimes even burnt out, as we strive hard to keep the house clean, stay on top of the laundry, and make sure everyone is well-fed.
But changing our perspective by seeing house chores as a proof of God’s faithfulness to us could transform the never-ending chores to testaments of the Lord’s provision for our families. The round-the-clock cooking and dishwashing means we have food to cook, the piles of laundry means we have enough clothes, the mess of toys in the living area means we have a family and a home. We should choose not to despise the blessings by complaining, instead, we ought to honor it by giving thanks to the one who provides.
“The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food in due season. You open your hand; you satisfy the desire of every living thing.” Psalm 145:15-16
If we see the things and people in our lives as answered prayers, we will then remember that the kids we serve now were the family we asked God to give us. The home that we clean, and the provisions we have were once the house and things we prayed for. Even the strength we have to tire ourselves out is also a testament that we are healthy enough to move and take care of our family’s needs. And so we may not have everything we want, but let’s not close our eyes to the truth that He has been faithful enough to give us all we need.
“And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.” 2 Corinthians 9:8
Thank you for reading through our devotional today. I invite you to ponder on Philippians 4:4-8 to dig deeper on today’s topic.

Conversation with the Lord: Lord Jesus Christ, help me see everything that I do, as a testament of your never-ending grace. allow me to thank you that you continue to be faithful to me and my family. And pardon me for the complaints I utter each time I get tired of my routine. Amen.Â
