We do not need a fancy platform to tell people about Jesus. Sometimes, we may not even have to open our mouths to tell the world about His love. All we need to do is to honor Him with our choices, honor Him with our actions, and Honor Him with our thoughts. All these will reflect on how we treat others, and how we conduct ourselves.
“In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 5:16
Living such a life may be difficult, but as His followers, the Lord has empowered us to live good lives. He has given us the Bible to be our guide and our church community to help us grow in faith, More importantly, He gave us the Holy Spirit to empower us to live out His teachings.
“For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.” 2 Timothy 1:7
When others see and experience that we are kind without an agenda and generous even to those who cannot pay back our generosity they see Jesus’ loving hand in us. Whenever we are patient even when we do not get what we want right away, they see Jesus’ humility and grace. When we stay hopeful in the face of difficulty and grief they see how it is to live with faith. And when we forgive even those who have terribly hurt us — we show the people around us how it is like to receive God’s mercy and peace.
In effect we get to testify on God’s goodness and grace enough to encourage people to get to know the Jesus we know, we follow, and we dearly love.
