Daily devotional: New Year Invite

This New Year, God is inviting you to recommit your life to Him. To allow Him to guide you, and let Him become your safe place as you face inevitable challenges this 2026. The next 365 days may be full of uncertainties, but when we recommit our life to following Jesus and walking in His ways, we can be sure of God’s faithfulness, good plans and loving care.

Proverbs 3:1-2
Proverbs 3:1-2

“My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you peace and prosperity.” Proverbs 3:1-2

And as we roll in another year, let us expect goodness from our God. To receive not just rebuke or chastisement from Him, but even pleasant surprises meant to make us feel loved, seen, protected and truly cared for. And when God decides to bless us we can be sure that we will be provided with truly the best things — things that money cannot buy: peace, contentment, security, and joy.

“And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” 2 Corinthians 9:8

When we intentionally seek Him through prayer, Bible reflection, and worship, we get to grow in faith, improve our character, and benefit from the natural blessings of obedience from the God who only wants the best things for us.

“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” Matthew 6:33

Thank you for reading through our devotional today. I invite you to ponder on 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 to dig deeper on today’s topic.

Reflection Question: Do you feel like God is inviting you to come to Him again? What are ways you can intentionally seek Him this year?

Conversation with the Lord: Lord Jesus Christ, thank you that amid the uncertainties of this year, I can be sure of your love, faithfulness, and promises. Give me the grace of continuing to seek you, and the confidence to call on Your name in both good times and in bad. Amen.
