Whenever we feel like God is taking too long to help us out with our problems, let us remember that our Almighty Father is all-knowing and sovereign. He knows us better than we know ourselves, and so, we should trust His timing and decisions. When we have yet to learn the lesson from the challenges we are facing, He may make us endure it a little bit longer.
“My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.” James 1:2-4
Like what the Apostle James mentioned in the above scripture, God is after our spiritual maturity and transformation. He is more interested in shaping our character so that we could be more like Jesus, as He has predestined us to be.
“For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.” Romans 8:29
And so whenever we face challenges, let us always remember that God will never give us more than what we can handle. And that when we seek Him sincerely, and ask for wisdom and guidance, He will be more than willing to help us with our decisions and choices.
A genuine relationship with Jesus will not exempt us from difficulties in life. It however guarantees that we have on our corner the most powerful ally we could ever have. If He chooses not to get us out of the problem, then He will surely get us through it.
“And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.” 1 Peter 5:10
Thank you for reading through our devotional today. I invite you to ponder on Romans 5:3-5 to dig deeper on today’s topic.
