Hello there! Thank you for stopping by our weekly baon ideas post. This week I decided to suggest five school lunch ideas your kids may like. I had fun preparing these, and I am hoping that you will have fun too!
Well, most of the ulam or viand ideas here are our actual lunch for the day, so I did not cook anything special just for the baon. The household’s lunch is the same as the packed lunch. I have posted meal plans before so if you are in the lookout for monthky and weekly meal plans, check them out here.
Lunch baon for the week
The Pork Sinigang is Achie’s favorite. I am just glad that our Omie Box does a good job in keeping everything spill free and warm till lunch time. The monggo gisado is surprisingly a favorite of my kids especially when it comes with Chicharon. Since I could not include pork rinds in the box, I decided to just crush them and roll the rice balls in it.
The other baon entries like the pasta are of course part of our usually monthly lunch repertoire that is on repeat almost every month.
Screenshot time for baon ideas
So, without further ado, here is the matrix of all the baon ideas for the week:
MONDAY | Rice balls, Pork Sinigang, Kiwi-strawberry juice, Tiny apple |
TUESDAY | Garlic chicken, French Beans, Black Rice, Greek Yogurt, Cranberry Juice |
WEDNESDAY | Fried liempo, over-easy eggs, rice balls, watermelon balls |
THURSDAY | Cheesy Alfredo Pasta, Raisin coconut macaroons, apple juice, rambutan and orange wedges |
FRIDAY | Ginisang Munggo, Riceballs rolled in chicharon, grape juice, pineapple cubes |
I make it a point to pack fruits for the kids, and I am glad they enjoy eating them as dessert. So there goes, if you need more baon ideas, hope you can check out the other posts in our channel. We have a newly started playlist on school snack and baon ideas. Hope it will be helpful for you too!
Sharing my devotional
At this point, I hope you could allow me to share with you the bible passage that I have read during my devotional this morning. It comes from the Letter of St. Paul to the Philippians.
“But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, Lord Jesus Christ.”
Philippians 3:20
Thank you very much for stopping by and till next week!
