Daily devotional, Nov 10, 2023 Accounting 101

"For whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them."
Matthew 25:29

Today, November 10, is International Accounting Day — an annual event meant to promote the accounting profession. Accountants after all are indispensable in society — both in the private and public sector. Accountants though have managed to break the barriers of their profession, and bring the importance of numbers where others may not expect that it is needed. For instance, in the Academy Awards, at least nine accountants would have to work for more than 1500 hours to tabulate votes and ensure fairness in handing out Oscar Awards. The FBI on the other hand employs at least 2,000 accounting specialists who work as field agents, forensic accountants, and the like to catch fraudsters and similar financial crimes.

At the end of our lives, we will all face accounting for everything we have been entrusted with. As stewards of time, talent, treasure, and influence, the Lord is expecting us to report to Him everything that we have used it for. In his epistle, the Apostle Peter reminded us:

"Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms."
1 Peter 4:10

If we fail to use our abilities and financial wealth for good things including the spreading of the Gospel, then we have failed in this life. Such failure means we have only been serving ourselves and our loved ones, and unfortunately, we will perish because of this selfishness. In the parable of the dishonest manager, Jesus reminds us that we should do what we can in terms of serving others through what we have been given, so that we can spend eternity with Him:

"I tell you, use worldly wealth to gain friends for yourselves, so that when it is gone, you will be welcomed into eternal dwellings."
Luke 16:9

The expectation to share one’s blessings and serve others comes with a promise. In the Parable of the Talents, our Savior assures us that God will sustain good stewards of His blessings:

“His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful slave! You were faithful over a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Share your master’s joy!’"
Matthew 25:21

So how can we use our time, talent, and treasures to earn us eternal life? Well we can start off by regularly offering monetary donations to the church. We can then follow that up with investing time for eternal causes, like volunteering in church, joining the choir or the worship team, the lector’s guild, sunday school, or actively participating in church outreach programs.

In a personal capacity, we can use our time to conduct bible studies, organize prayer groups, and use our influence to spread the message of salvation. We can do this in person or start through our respective social media circles. We can also center family activities on helping others, like bringing food and small gifts to orphanages, home for the aged, prison, and indigent communities. By doing this, we also get to teach our children to help out others using whatever gifts they may have.

At the end of the day, it is all about abiding by the Lord’s command to love one another. Besides, we have received so much love from our Creator, why don’t we show Him our gratitude by paying it forward?

Thank you for reading through our devotional today. I invite you to ponder on Matthew 25:14-30 to dig deeper on today’s topic.

Reflection Question: How will you account for all your blessings when the time comes?

Conversation with the Lord: Lord Jesus Christ, thank you for entrusting to me this life, and the substance and talent it came with. Empower me to use these blessings you have showered upon me for the good of others, so that when my time comes, I would get to enjoy eternal life with you. Amen.

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
1 John 1:9

Matte makeup is one of the more popular types of makeup products in the market. It is sought for its even coverage of blemishes, shine control and more natural look.

Matte foundation in particular covers imperfections giving the impression of a blemish-free and fresh-looking skin.

Like skin blemishes, sins are unsightly to God’s eyes and the only way to cover them is through Jesus’ love and mercy. His ultimate sacrifice covered the darkness of sin and ransomed us from the perils of evil: “For this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.” Matthew 26:28

If we will only confess our sins to the Lord and repent, He promises to take all our sins away and even cover it so that He doesnt see it again “Blessed is the one whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered” (Psalm 32:1).

Let us take comfort in knowing that if we decide to move forward from our sinful ways and abide by the Lord, He will renew us, remove the blemishes of our heart, and forget about our mistakes “I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more” (Isaiah 43:25). And regardless of the gravity of our sins, He can cleanse us and renew our purpose in life “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” 2 Corinthians 5:7

And while we savor the Lord’s mercy and forgiveness, we are called to show mercy to others too. In his epistle, St Peter reminds the church that “love covers a multitude of sins” (1 Peter 4:8). When we forgive others, we in effect cover their failures and mistakes that have hurt us, and move on with our relationship with them.

Yes, it may be hard to forgive and forget but our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ has modeled this to us. He also requires us to show the same compassion and mercy so that we too could earn His forgiveness and experience His peace.

Thank you for reading through our devotional today. I invite you to ponder on Psalm 32 to dig deeper on today’s topic.

Reflection: Have you asked the Lord to cover your sins? Have you forgiven other people’s sins too?

Conversation with the Lord: Lord Jesus Christ, thank you for forgiving me and covering my sins. Please give me enough love in my heart so I too could forgive others and forget about what they have done to me. Amen

Unbusy for Christ

Daily devotional, Oct 20, 2023 Unbusy for Christ

"For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace." Romans 8:2

Today’s default mode is busy. For some reason, today’s culture glorifies busy-ness that when one is not in that state, he or she feels unimportant. While we, Christians are being encouraged to be busy with our own lives and work for our own living (1 Thessalonians 4:11), we are dissuaded from wearing our bodies out to attain worldly pursuits.

Proverbs chapter seven warned of the woman who cannot stay still: “She is loud and wayward; her feet do not stay at home; now in the street, now in the market, and at every corner she lies in wait,” Proverbs 7:11-12.

The bible is also discouraging too much toiling in exchange for worldly treasures. The Gospel of Luke quoted our Lord and Savior’s assurance: “Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass, which is alive in the field today, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith!” (Luke 12:27-28).
At the same breath, the author of Psalm 37 urged everyone to be still, and keep from coveting the gains of the ungodly: “Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices!” (Psalm 37:7)

While we are being lured by the world to keep focusing on worldly goals, our Christianity calls us to prioritize pursuits that bring us closer to the Lord. Growing in Christ-likeness and serving others are things we should be busy about: “And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.” (1 John 2:17)

We also have to learn to rest. We should intentionally rest our bodies, minds and spirits so that we can always be ready to follow God’s will. He ordains time of rest for us and we should honor that by setting apart a day for worship and downtime. He asks us to unburden ourselves of unnecessary things that take up our time, our bandwidth and our energy: “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30)

At the end of the day, we owe it to our God to unbusy ourselves for Him. So that we can pursue Him more, recharge our souls and spirits so that we can be more like Him.

The anxieties of a busy life is not something the Lord wants for us. He wants us to have His peace, and we can only attain that by seeking Him in always, and in all ways. In the Gospel of Matthew, our Savior Jesus Christ Himself calmed anxieties as he reminded people to prioritize seeking Him above all things: “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble,” (Matthew 6:33-34).

Thank you for reading through our devotional today. I invite you to ponder on Luke 10:38-42 and Romans 12:2 to dig deeper on today’s topic.

Reflection Question: Are you to busy to grow in Christ likenesss? What changes can you implement in your life so that you can be unbusy for the Lord?

Conversation with the Lord:  Heavenly Father, I praise and thank you for calling me to be still and wait for you. You know what is best for me, and that I should cease pursuing worldly things that take me far away from you. Allow me to fully trust and surrender my life to you so I could grow in Christ-likeness, and shine your light to others. Amen.

"And call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.” Psalm 50:15

It is a common misconception for some Christians that once they have accepted Jesus as their personal savior, their problems will go away and they will no longer go through challenges.

But the opposite is true, following Christ would entail persecution of various forms, and He did not hide this truth from His followers. The Gospel of St. John quotes Jesus as saying “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world,” (John 16:33).

And while we will have troubles, His promise is that He will never leave us. The Book of Isaiah 43:2 says “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.” Note the choice of the word “WHEN,” which means it is just a matter of time that you will go through deep waters or walk through the fire. It is not an “IF.” But through all these cathartic, downright depressing and challenging moments, His presence will be there to guide us through the deep valleys.

In his popular Psalm, King David mentioned the times when he went through tribulation, and how the Lord’s presence, protection and guidance calms him: “Even though I walk through the darkest valley,I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me,” (Psalm 23:4).

In one of her interviews, renowned Christian Author Ann Voskamp said that “His presence is the Promised Land.” Once we have the Lord present in our lives, no matter where we go, whether these are highest peaks or low valleys, we can be sure that we are in good hands. He is holding us and we are holding onto Him and that is what’s important.

To keep a strong grasp on the Lord we should keep abiding in Him, praying, having quiet time, intentional daily bible reading, and having regular group study with fellow believers. Of course whether we are happy or sad, we should never forgo worshipping with fellow believers. Let us hold on to God and tether our lives to Him, and hold on to His promise that He will never leave us nor forsake us.

Thank you for reading through our devotional today. I invite you to ponder on Isaiah 43:1-5 to dig deeper on today’s topic.

Reflection Question:  Have you ever doubted the Lord’s presence whenever you were in your deep valleys?

Conversation with the Lord: Heavenly Father, thank you for your promise to never leave us nor forsake us. Give me the confidence to fully trust in your promises my Lord as I go through the deep valleys of my life. Amen.

Daily Devotional, Sept 30, 2023 Return to Manufacturer

“Come, let us return to the LORD. He has torn us to pieces but he will heal us; he has injured us but he will bind up our wounds." Hosea 6:1

Great companies are known to offer fair and comprehensive product guarantees given their confidence in their product’s quality and workmanship. The Manufacturer’s Warranty that they give for every purchase comes as an assurance that the product is manufactured with the highest product standards. And so if ever it malfunctions, the customer can rest assured that the manufacturer can surely repair or replace it.

Whenever people experience issues or difficulties that render them broken, they too should seek their “manufacturer’s guarantee” that they can be repaired. The Gospel of Matthew clearly states our Creator’s call for us to come to Him “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest,” (Matthew 11:28). And unlike human manufacturers, our Creator will always find a way to mend us. For Him, there is nothing and no one beyond repair. (“And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.” 1 Peter 5:10)

Going back to our creator in essence means going down on our knees, confessing and repenting on our sins that led us to our brokenness. It means consulting our owner’s manual — that is the bible — to guide us on how to go about getting fixed. And seeking the help of authorized repair centers, which is the Church, established to help fellow believers to get back into their feet. (“Finally, brothers, rejoice. Aim for restoration, comfort one another, agree with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.”  (2 Corinthians 13:11)

On the contrary Do-It-Yourself (DIY) fixes such as turning to drugs, gambling, alcoholism, sexual immorality, stress eating, over consumption and the like do more harm than good. It is like seeking repair from “unauthorized service centers” that could lead to a possible short term fix but long-term damage, or worse — total product failure.

When depressed, anxious, and broken, all we should do is to go back to our Creator. He promises to mend us, and make us new once again (“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” 2 Corinthians 5:17). There is nothing beyond repair for Him, and He knows us inside out. There is nothing He cannot fix, there is no problem He cannot solve.

Thank you for reading through our devotional today. I invite you to ponder on Psalm 71:20-21, and Matthew 11:28-30 to dig deeper on today’s topic.

Reflection Question:  Are you broken? When will you finally run to your manufacturer for repair?

Conversation with the Lord: Heavenly Father, only you can fully restore me. Give me the confidence to surrender all my troubles to you, so that I can be fully healed both in mind and body, Amen.

Daily Devotional, Aug 22, 2023 Giving your blessing

“All your children will be taught by the Lord, and great will be their peace.”

ISAIAH 54:13

Pagmamano, or kissing the hand of an elder is a Filipino trait that shows how we value and respect our parents, grandparents, relatives, priests, and generally older people. For most it is a sign of greeting, upon meeting after a long day or a long while.

In the time of Jesus, children went to Him to ask for His blessings, and He happily obliges. He even told His disciples that children should never be discouraged to come to Him: “Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” (Matthew 19:14).

More than a greeting and a sign of respect, I guess pagmamano should be seen as a challenge and reminder for us elders to try our best to be like Jesus. In his letter to the Ephesians, St. Paul urged everyone to emulate Christ, “Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.” (Ephesians 5:1-2)

We should reflect His light on the young people who are asking for our blessing. Our kids, and other children in our life should see Jesus’ gentleness, generosity, care, and lovingkindness in us so that they too can be inspired to follow Jesus.
Let us be deserving of the respect being given to us, and be good examples to our children.

Before I end, allow me to share with you these passages that I recite to bless my kids. It is found in the Book of Numbers, I think you can also pray this prayer to your godchildren. Our Parish Priest encourages parents, especially fathers to say this prayer to their children, especially during the New Year:

“The Lord bless you and keep you;the Lord make His face shine on you and be gracious to you;the Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace.”’

Numbers 6:24-26.

Thank you for reading through our devotional today. I invite you to read Ephesians 4:1-7 to dig deeper on today’s topic.

Reflection Question: Can your children and the other children in your life see Christ in you?

Conversation with the Lord: Dear Lord, I praise and thank you for making me a parent. I pray that you help me become worthy of the respect and admiration of my children, by having the will and confidence to follow your example. I want them to see your love reflected in my actions towards them. Amen.

Daily Devotional, Aug 16, 2023 Graciously Correct

“Whoever spares the rod hates their children, but the one who loves their children is careful to discipline them.”

Proverbs 13:24

My eldest child has recently developed a penchant for Asian Mom Memes on Youtube. And I agree with her that it really is funny to watch how Asian Moms are like. I then wonder how come she finds it so hilarious too when I get to relate because I remember my own mother? AHA! It reminds her of me! And why not? Most of the moms there are funny, and they run their mouths whenever the Asian kid in the meme does something wrong.

I reflected on this during my quiet time, and I think that in reality the situation is not so funny. I am sure there are times when I was not too gracious when I needed to reprimand my children. The letter of Jesus’ brother, James came to mind as I reflected on how naggy of a mom I can be: “If any think they are religious and do not bridle their tongues but deceive their hearts, this religion is worthless,” (James 1:26)

In that same chapter, the Apostle James said that “With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God’s likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be,” (James 1:9-10). Now we do not curse our children, but we get to say things that could hurt their feelings. And as the above mentioned bible passage tells us it could be confusing for people (like our kids) to listen to the painful words uttered by the same mouth that urges them to praise and follow God.

Now the bible does not tell us to withhold discipline from our kids. In fact it encourages us parents to do so, since even our Heavenly Father does it to us to show His love. In Proverbs 3:11-12 it says “My son, do not despise the LORD’s discipline, and do not resent his rebuke, because the LORD disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in.”

However there is a right way to correct others (including our children) when they make mistakes. The bible encourages gentleness of words, “A soothing tongue is a tree of life, But perversion in it crushes the spirit.” Proverbs 15:4

As to the manner of correction, we can heed what Jesus tells us in Matthew 18:15 “If your brother or sister sins, go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over.” Which means we should never resort to shaming them whilst pointing out their wrong doings.

Well the point is, as parents we should take a cue from our Heavenly Father who disciplines us yet remains to be ever-present in our lives, always there to listen and to provide what we need. We could learn from Jesus’ example of humility and meekness even though He is the Son of God, the Messiah, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

Thank you for reading through our devotional today. I invite you to read James 3:1-12 to dig deeper on today’s topic.

Reflection Question: How do you reprimand your children?

Conversation with the Lord: Almighty God, we praise and thank you for entrusting these children into my care. Empower me Lord to follow your example of gentleness and humility whenever I discipline them. I praise you Lord and I want to follow your will. Allow me to disciple my children correctly so that my whole family could live a life that is glorifying to you.

BE THE LORD’S WITNESS

“Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth!”

Psalm 100:1

Being a witness in any legal proceeding could be taxing, inconvenient, and sometimes even life threatening. But there are people who are willing to stand for the truth, and fight for what’s right.

In the early days, being a witness to Jesus’ as the messiah could have life-altering consequences too. But testifying to something that could save souls from eternal damnation was worth it for the early Christians who responded to the call to make disciples of all nations.

This marching order still applies to us, present-day Christians. In the Gospel of St. Matthew, he quoted Jesus saying that we should tell everyone about the good news of our salvation. “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19-20)

We should not have excuses that we cannot share the gospel because we have a dark past, or because we do not know much yet about Jesus and the bible. As long as we have accepted the Lord as our savior, and repented for our sins we can share how we have been saved by His grace. In the Gospel of Luke, he told us the story of the Gerasene Man who was possessed with a legion of demons. Upon being healed by Jesus Christ, the man wanted to go with Jesus, but He told him instead to spread the word about how the Lord has helped him, ‘“Return to your home, and declare how much God has done for you.” So he went away, proclaiming throughout the city how much Jesus had done for him.” (Luke 8:39).
The Gerasene man has not memorized any scripture, nor has he talked to Jesus for a long time, yet he was commanded to tell everyone about his healing experience.

It is the same with the Samaritan Woman in the well, who had five husbands. After realizing that she was talking to the Messiah, she went back right away to her townsmen and shared what she knew about Jesus. “Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman’s testimony, “He told me everything I ever did.”(John 4:39)

We can take a cue from these two stories and start sharing about how God has changed our lives. That no matter our background, we too can share the Good News of Jesus to our children, and to everyone around us.

Thank you for reading through our devotional today. I invite you to read 2 Timothy 4:2-8 to dig deeper on today’s topic.

Reflection Question: Have you ever shared the good news about how Jesus Christ is present in your life? If not, what are the steps you would like to take to start spreading the Word?

Conversation with the Lord: Heavenly Father, empower me to start sharing the good news of your salvation. Allow me to seek you and your words, and create opportunities to talk to others about You. I want to help them get to know you, so that we can all be part of your eternal kingdom. Amen

What names reveal

“A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches, Loving favor rather than silver and gold.”

Proverbs 22:1

Naming kids is such an exciting yet challenging task given to every parent. As school girls, I remember me and my friends talking about what we want to name our kids.

When I became a parent myself, I also considered names of bible characters as names for my children. After all, this book is the best inspiration for finding good and Godly names. But as I grew in faith, and grew in the knowledge of the Lord I figured that more than the characters, what the bible says about names should inspire us on how to name our children and how to best raise them.

In the bible, the Lord has changed the names of some of its most memorable characters to mark a change in their way of life (Genesis 32:28). Like from being Abram, we now know the Father of All Nations as Abraham. From being a cheat, Jacob’s name has been changed to Israel. From Simon or Cephas, the Lord changed his foremost disciple’s name to Peter. Even St. Paul the Apostle was once known as Saul — back when he was still a religious terrorist.

New beginnings — that is what Jesus offers us when we surrender to Him. In St. Paul’s Second Letter to the Corinthians, he said “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” (2 Corinthians 5:17).”
We do not need to change our names when we get to that cathartic moment. What we just need to do is to make sure that we have been forever changed by the Lord, and that He will constantly be present in our lives as we abide in Him.

Thank you for reading through our devotional today. I invite you to read 2 Corinthians 5:14-21 to dig deeper on today’s topic.

Reflection Question: What is the meaning of your name? How did you choose your children’s names. Has there been a life changing moment with God and realisation in your life that has prompted you to become a new person?

Conversation with the Lord: Almighty God, I praise and thank you for the wonderful name you allowed my parents to bestow upon me. May this name that I hold reflect your love to all, as I strive to live a life that glorifies your own. Amen.

SAYING SORRY TO THE KIDS

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Matthew 11:28-30

When was the last time you said sorry to any one of your kids? How did it go? Do you remember your own parents apologizing to you back then?

For individuals who grew up with authoritative or disciplinarian parents, experiencing their mom or dad apologizing beyond the occasional accidental mishaps could be unheard of. This is because as the person in authority at home, some parents may feel that they make the best decisions and carry out the best judgments simply because they have the best interest of their children at heart.

But we all know that this could sometimes be untrue. As human beings, we parents are bound to commit mistakes that unfortunately could scar our children for life. We could even model this bad behavior on them, making them misbehave towards their peers or other people. And now we wonder why they have a hard time saying sorry to their sibling or friend whom they have hurt?

Our Heavenly Father, who is also our Wonderful Counselor (Isaiah 9:6) invites us to follow His example in dealing with the rigors of life, and in our case daily motherhood struggles. In Matthew 11:28-30, He invites us to unburden all our earthly worries and follow His example of gentleness and humility.

The Lord knows that when we are anxious about provisions, finances, parenting schedules, illnesses, and failing relationships we tend to clam up and make bad parenting decisions like snapping on to the children when they commit even the tiniest mistake.

Jesus tells us to come and rest in Him, by seeking His presence in our lives. He asks us to take up His yoke by abiding His commands and following His will. Our Almighty Father prods us to be gentle and humble when dealing with others, and we can do this by following His example — He is Sovereign, He is the Lord of Lords yet He chose to humble Himself for our sake. Let us allow that to inspire us to be gentle and meek especially towards our little ones.

Regularly seeking the Lord through daily intentional quiet time, bible reading and reflection, plus bible study and weekly community worship could help us grow to become the gentle and humble parent that God wants us to be. And when we have peace in our home, we will definitely get rest for our souls.

Thank you for reading through our devotional today. I invite you to read Isaiah 54:13-17 so we could dig deeper on today’s topic.

Reflection Question: When was the last time you made a parenting mistake, and did you apologize to your child? Do you have an emotional wound inflicted to you by your parents, that until now they have not apologized for? Have you forgiven them for it?

Conversation with the Lord: My Almighty Father, thank you for giving me the best example of meekness and humility towards little ones. May You be merciful enough to make me conscious of my parenting mistakes, and give me the grace to be humble and apologize to my children for these. I desire a good life-long relationship with my children and I know that humility, and modeling such virtue to them will be one of the keys to keeping peace within our family. I also pray that you take away whatever pains inflicted by the emotional wounds that I have sustained as a child, so that I could forgive my own parents too. Amen.

Flexing my little shobe’s drawing that reminds me to trust in God always.

Hope everyone is having a great day so far. Sharing with you my daughter’s artwork. Well we all love our kids’ artworks right but this one is very special to me. She gave it to me when she heard me trying to troubleshoot a situation so that things will go well with our home schedule.

It made me thankful because in her young age she knows the value of scripture and trusting the Lord. As adults we get to struggle on that when we try to make sense of what is happening around us.

Little hearts that trust the Lord

I am just thankful that God has given me this little soul, a lifelong bestfriend, that reminds me that He has my back and the whole world in His hands.

Sharing with you the bible passage I keep in my heart as I try my best to teach my kids about God, His words, and His powet. 💕 Hope it will inspire you too.

DEUTERONOMY 11:18-20

“Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. 19 Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. 20 Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates, 21 so that your days and the days of your children may be many in the land the Lord swore to give your ancestors, as many as the days that the heavens are above the earth.”

Thanks for stopping by everyone, and till next post!
