This easy Arroz a la Cubana recipe can be your go-to brunch during weekends!<\/strong><\/em><\/p><\/div>\n

I usually remember to cook easy arroz a la cubana when our saging na saba at home are becoming overripe already. You see I usually buy a bunch on a weekly basis because the kids love fried bananas for merienda, and boiled saba<\/a> is a great on-the-go snack, quick tummy filler, and of course a good school baon.<\/div>\n
What is great about arroz a la cubana is that it is also a cost-effective breakfast or lunch meal. Why, you ask? Because you can cook it for more of less P100.00 for a family of two adults and two grown children.<\/div>\n

Easy Arroz a la Cubana, Pinoy style<\/strong><\/h1>\n<\/div>\n
For newbie cooking mamas who may not be too familiar as to how to cook this dish, here’s a rough guide:<\/p>\n

4 pieces saba banana, sliced lengthwise<\/li>\n
300 grams lean ground beef or pork or mixed if you wish<\/li>\n
Small pack of raisins<\/li>\n
1\/4 cup of frozen green peas, thawed<\/li>\n
Medium sized onion, chopped<\/li>\n
2 cloves of garlic, minced<\/li>\n
Medium sized tomato, chopped<\/li>\n
Oil for sauteeing<\/li>\n
1 – 2 Tbsp TomatoSauce or 1 tbsp tomato paste<\/li>\n
1 Tbsp Light Soy Sauce (or more, depending on your taste).<\/li>\n
1 Tsp Brown Sugar<\/li>\n
4 pcs eggs<\/li>\n

Cooking procedure for Filipino Arroz a la Cubana<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n
1. Fry tbe saba bananas. Set aside.<\/div>\n
2. Fry the eggs a la sunny side up. Set aside.<\/div>\n
2. Saute onion, garlic and tomatoes.<\/div>\n
3. Once the tomatoes are tender add in the ground meat (you can use lean ground pork, or mix of pork and beef, or just beef).<\/div>\n
4. Add in the raisins.<\/div>\n
5. Wait until meat is fully cooked.<\/div>\n
6. Add in 1-2 tbsp of tomato sauce or tomato paste.<\/div>\n
7. Stir and cook for another two minutes.<\/div>\n
8. Add in the green peas.<\/div>\n
9. AT THIS POINT YOU CAN NOW GET A PORTION FOR YOUR TODDLER AND BABY<\/a> IF YOU PLAN TO SERVE THIS DISH TO THEM.<\/div>\n
10. You can now season for adult consumption. Add light soy sauce (adjust to taste), a bit of ground pepper, and brown sugar.<\/div>\n
11. Stir and cook for another 2-3 minutes.<\/div>\n
12. Serve individually plated \ud83d\ude0d<\/div>\n
