Moist Puto Cheese Recipe<\/h1>\n<\/div>\n

The ingredients in making moist puto cheese are easy to find, in fact most are in your pantry.<\/strong><\/em><\/p><\/div>\n

Ingredients for the moist puto cheese:<\/b><\/div>\n

• 1 cup Rice Flour<\/li>\n
• 1 Cup Fresh Milk<\/li>\n
• 3 tsp Calumet or any Baking Powder<\/li>\n
• 1\/2 cup white sugar<\/li>\n
• Food coloring of your choice (i used mc cormick liquid – red for my first batch which turned out pink, and yellow for my other batch)<\/li>\n
• 1\/3 small box of Cheddar Cheese, grated (almost 1 cup when grated)<\/li>\n
• 1\/4 Tsp Vanilla Extract<\/li>\n
• You will also need puto molders<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  Cooking procedure for cheesy moist puto:<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n

  1. Sift all the dry ingredients (rice flour, baking powder and sugar) into a mixing bowl.<\/p>\n

  2. Mix thoroughly.<\/p>\n

  3. Add the wet ingredients, and mix until smooth.<\/div>\n

  <\/div>\n

  

  It is easy to make, that you can make the mixture while waiting for the steaming water to boil.<\/strong><\/em><\/p><\/div>\n

  <\/div>\n

  4. Decide on the colors. You can split your mixture into two, and get two different colors. Just add two drops of the food coloring on the mixture.<\/div>\n

  5. Mix two parts of the grated cheese into the mixture and mix well.<\/div>\n

  6. Bring steamer into a boil.<\/div>\n

  7. Pour the mixture into your puto molds up to 3\/4s of the container (you can use silicone or aluminum or whatever puto mold you have — i used silicone though, and it serves as a liner too upon serving).<\/div>\n

  I made two batches hence two different colors of my moist cheesy puto.<\/strong><\/em><\/p><\/div>\n

  7. Arrange the filled molders into the steaming basket, and put in the steamer once the water starts to boil.<\/div>\n

  8. Steam for about 20 minutes.<\/div>\n

  9. Add in the remaining grated cheese on top of each puto and steam for about three minutes more until the cheese melts.<\/div>\n

  10. Serve.<\/div>\n

  They may not look picture-perfect but these pieces of puto are so soft, moist and yummy!<\/strong><\/em><\/p><\/div>\n

  For this recipe, I did not spend more than P50.00 per batch of about 8 pieces. If you do not have the other ingredients at home then you may spend more but you can reuse the remaining ingredients for another batch, or another recipe.<\/div>\n

  Spent about P50.00 per batch of eight pieces of puto. You may spend more if you do not have some of the ingredients at home, but you get to use them again for another batch and realize savings.<\/strong><\/em><\/p><\/div>\n

  So there you have it, easy and quick moist puto cheese recipe. It may not look pucture perfect but it is moist, soft and flavorful! My kids loved it! This one is also a good baon for when school starts.<\/div>\n
