The post Guest Post: Hacks to help you stay within your party’s budget appeared first on Happy Pinay Mommy.
]]>One of the most exciting parts of parenthood is being able to celebrate your child’s most important milestones. Whether it be a birthday, baptism, graduation, or even the simple feats, organizing a get together is always a welcome idea.
However, unlike the parties that were organized in the past, many of the celebrations these days are more on the extravagant side and far from the simple affairs that you grew up to–making the task more challenging and a lot more expensive!
(Related: Party souvenirs, lootbags, DIY candy buffet, restaurants with party packages)
But just like the typical parents who would go out of their way to be ‘extra’ for their child, you wouldn’t let an occasion pass without a celebration. So, if you don’t have a huge budget or isn’t willing to spend too much for a few hours of fun, this article lists some of the most brilliant party hacks to keep the fun going–and your spending low!
1. Make Labels Work
It is a common scenario in parties for the expenses on party supplies to double (and even triple!), as compared to the number of guests, especially when people get more of what they’re supposed to have. While some prefer to just double the number of loot bags or souvenirs just to make sure that there’ll be for everyone, this would mean higher expenses–and you wouldn’t want that. The solution? Add labels with the names of your invited guests on the loot bags or souvenirs.
Party Hack: Find printable templates that go well with your party theme to create beautiful souvenir labels. Not only will it control your expenses, it will also create an impression that you’ve exerted added effort to personalize your giveaways!
A nice table centerpiece already costs a lot of money that you’d rather spend on more important things. So, if you are in the middle of deciding between keeping the buffet table bare or giving in to the expensive cost of table decorations, you might want to give a second look on the foods that you plan to prepare. With the right selection, your party food choices can already double up as decorations to spruce up the table. Choose foods with bright colors or those that come in exciting shapes and you can cross out table decors from your shopping list!

Party Hack: Serve fruits in season. Not only will their refreshing colors brighten up the buffet table, you can also avail them at a lower price due to the abundance of their supply.
3. Take Charge of the Entertainment
No budget for clowns, magicians, or event hosts? No problem! With good party music, there will never be a dull time in your party. Come up with a playlist that fits the preferences of your guests and your entertainment will go just fine. Basically, all you’ll need is your own sound equipment to be the DJ of your own party. Also, don’t skip the tried and tested old school party games like ‘pabitin’ and ‘pinata or palayok’. A shower of goodies never fail to entertain and win the hearts of kids and even the young-at-hearts.
Party Hack: For small indoor parties when a loud sound system isn’t suitable, you can settle for this trick: Find a curved or tubular container that you can use to hold your phone and voila! Instant speakers!
While reusables are now more preferred for parties, Choosing supplies that can be reused is not just a smart way to save. It is also an eco-friendly alternative that will minimize unnecessary waste. One way to do that is by using banners, cups, and plates which can be used repeatedly without even having to affect the outcome of your event. The initial cost may be greater than the disposable types, but you’d thank yourself for investing in these pieces if you’ll consider the overall savings with repeated use.
Party Hack: Do you have reusables that already look old or worn-out? Don’t throw them away yet! Old reusables like plastic cups can be used as party decors. Try punching a hole in the cups. Get a string of Christmas lights and put the bulbs through the holes to create an intimate lighting that you can hang outdoors and use as garden string lights.
5. Put Your DIY Skills at Work
A huge portion of the expenses in organizing a party goes to the supplies that you can actually do yourself. Party decors, loot bags, and invitations can be bought in a party shop but that would mean extra expenses. With a little creativity and by allocating enough time in customizing your decors and giveaways, you’ll be able to spend less and even add a personal touch to these essentials.
Party Hack: You can organize arts and crafts activities where guests can give a hand in creating their own DIY souvenirs. This will not just keep them busy and avoid the dull time, it will also spare you from the added cost of buying party favors for the guests to bring home .

]]>The post Under P500 Buffet Restaurants for Baptismal and Birthday Parties (Part 1) appeared first on Happy Pinay Mommy.
]]>If you are looking for buffet restaurants where you can celebrate your child’s christening or kiddie party then this post is for you. We have rounded up (well, tried to – because we might accidentally miss some) in this post, Under P500 buffet restaurants for baptismal and birthday parties that parents can choose from.
We are making a two-part series, and this initial issue is for buffet restaurants that charge under P500.00 per head. While most buffet places offer a different pricing for lunch and dinner, we based this article on the lowest cost that they offer – anyway most kiddie parties and christening receptions are held at noon time or merienda. Keep in mind of course that USUALLY, kids under four feet in height pay only half the amount that they charge for adults, and those that are below three feet get to eat for free! So Yay for little guests!
Disclaimer though, I chose P500 pesos and below as a price point since some kiddie fast food parties would cost about 200 per pax, and as we know, buffets are a notch higher. If you accidentally landed on this post, but you are actually looking for fast-food restaurants for your upcoming kiddie parties, then click on this post instead (fast-food restaurants with kiddie party packages). We also have a separate post for suggested Christening reception venues. This post is specifically about Under P500 Buffet Restaurants for Baptismal and Birthday receptions.
Anyway, here are some buffet restaurants in the Philippines that charge below P500.00 per head. You may want to consider these Filipino buffet places for your child’s binyag or children’s party:
1. Tramway Buffet – For less than P300.00 (They have different rates depending on the branch, but the price range is at P228.00 to P258.00) you and your guests can partake on a Buffet dining experience that has Chinese, Japanese and Filipino dishes. They have branches in Banaue, Timog, Shaw, and Roxas Boulevard. Their popular dishes include sweet and sour pork, fried chicken, steamed fish, among other Chinese dishes. Click here to inquire.
2. Cabalen Restaurant – For as low as P298.00 you get to enjoy popular Kapampangan dishes in this buffet restaurant. The good thing about Cabalen is that it has a lot of branches, so most likely, there is one in a major mall near you. Classic dishes included in their buffet list are sisig, kare-kare, crispy crablets, different types of pancit, crispy kangkong, grilled fish, among other pinoy fiesta food. Click here to get in touch with them.
3. Guevarra’s by Chef Laudico – During weekdays, Guevarra’s offer a P499.00 all you can eat buffet for their weekday lunch. They have several function rooms that can accommodate your guests. We are including Guevarra’s as well on our second part of this two-part series as their dinner and holiday / weekend rates are for that price range. Anyway, the dishes are mostly Filipino and Hispanic-Filipino. If you are fine to hold your child’s christening party or birthday in the San Juan area, then Guevarra’s it is! Check out their FB Page for your reservation inquiries.
(Post Continued Below)
===========================================================
=======================================================
4. Tong Yang Hotpot (FAIRVIEW and GENSAN BRANCH ONLY) – Why these branches only? It is because only in these branches do they offer lower buffet rates ranging from P329.00 for lunch buffet, and then a P449.00 rate per head for dinner, weekends, and holidays. Gensan Rates meanwhile are at P319.00/pax to P419.00/pax with an option of Beer-All-You-Can for an additional P99.00. So if you love grilling, BBQ, and shabu-shabu, then check out this buffet place for your child’s christening or birthday. They also give their customers the option to add P65.00 for drink all-you-can beverages. Here’s their website so you can get in touch with them for your specific inquiries.
6. Kamay Kainan – This is yet another buffet place where you can hold your child’s Baptismal party or birthday. Kamay Kainan’s Market, Market Branch in Taguig has function rooms that are great for events. Check the branch nearest you but it sure is below P400.00 per head.
7. Kowloon House – Kowloon House Buffet offers rates of P349.00 for adults, and P259.00 for children both inclusive of bottomless iced tea. The rates are the same for both lunch and dinner. They offer typical Chinese cuisine with soups, yang chow fried rice, pancit, spring rolls, fish fillet, bean curd, among many other entrees! They have several branches, more popular ones are in Diliman and in West Avenue, both in Quezon City. You may check out their FB Page for your inquiries.
So there you have it, hope I have helped you in scouting for a buffet reception venue for your Child’s Christening or Birthday Party. As I have mentioned, this is only the first part of this two-part series. The second one will be about buffet places under P800.00 per head. ]]>The post Birthday party loot bag content ideas appeared first on Happy Pinay Mommy.
]]>I remember when I was a kid, one of the birthday party stuff I look forward to when attending a children’s party is the loot bag. Back then, giving a stuffed toy (which is now referred to as a plushie hahaha) is “pangmayaman” as the usual lootbag during those days were candies and small toys, or school supplies packed in a shiny sandwich bag held by a yarn.
My mom tried to be creative in one of my kiddie parties as she bought some cute baskets under the Quiapo bridge and filled it with happy goodies that will light up any child’s eyes. But that too became passe.
Fast forward X number of years later, the birthday party lootbag content ideas in the Philippines now has become more sophisticated, and fun for both the kiddie guests and their moms. If you are still on the lookout for a birthday party souvenir or what to fill your child’s party lootbags then this post is for you.
Well, lootbag contents in my opinion should somewhow match your party theme too. For instance, a friend had a pool party so their lootbag consisted of a pail shovel, and water squirters. A handy mannyu party on the other hand can give away pretend tool toys in a tool caddy. Anyway, before I go farther from my original point, here are some —
1. Coloring and Activity Books. Why not fill your child’s loot bag with these stuff so that both the kids and the parents will be happy that for once, their child did not come home with tartar-inducing sweets! Fun and Smart Kids Shop has loot bag contents at Divisoria price levels (follow them at shopee so you could get nationwide free shipping too!) They have the usual nice pens, art materials, small coloring books, sticker books, and craft items. The item below which is a dot-to-dot style coloring book comes with free eight pieces of markers for only P100.00 Check out their Facebook page here.
2. Egg Surprise Chocolate and Toys. Kids really drool over toy eggs that come with yummy chocolate and fun loot-type toys. You can buy kinder surprise toys at less than P50.00 in most supermarkets but these come only with generic toys. There are imported versions that can be bought online that are themed like the ones being sold by Clique Trading over at Shopee.ph, and as of posting a box of six pieces range from P380.00 to P450.00, sample themes include Disney Princesses and Hot Wheels. This shop also sells Egg Collectibles that do not come with chocolates, instead it only has toys inside like the My Little Pony, Lego, Adventure Time, Pokemon, Finding Dory and more. Think about the youtube Egg Surprise videos your preschooler loves to watch – they might just have it. They also sell Zaini Egg Surprise toys that also comes with different themes at a wholesale price of 199.00 per box of three, minimum order of 10 boxes. Here’s a link to their Shopee store.

=======================================================
3. Party Stamps – Who doesn’t love stamps? Children under the age of seven will surely appreciate these especially when it is their favorite character – or if your budget allows – it is personalized! Check out Party Stamps’ website here and see their roster of Self-Inking Stamps that go as low as P80.00 per 23 mm round stamp. Special Character Stamps are at P200.00 each. Designs can be chosen from their existing templates, or we can opt to send our own designs to them.
4. Arts and Crafts Supplies. Give something that the kids can use long after the party. Mom and Milly Educational Toys has arts supplies that can easily fit your lootbag. They have non-toxic finger paints complete with different shaped sponges; roll and paint sets that come with roller stamps, paints and brushes; and Alphabet Play Dough kits which are very educational and can be bought for only P150.00 per set as of posting. Here’s a link to their website.
5. Sweets. Who can say no to a loot bag filled with candies? Joshua Gummies is an online shop that sells various sweets, gummies, candy buffet and loot bag needs at very affordable prices! They have local and imported chocolates and candies that they can ship so you do not need to head to a physical store and battle heavy traffic! Here’s a link to their website.
6. Wooden Crafts. Want to give out something that the children can use for years, then give them wooden handicrafts. Handicrafts Atbp. Has various wooden products that can be very useful for kids – just like their kiddie stools (which we earlier recommended as a baptismal souvenir), art and school supplies caddy, and even character clocks. Checkout their FB Page here.
7. Plush Toys – There are a lot of plush toys suppliers out there who can just give you great, fun designs at a very reasonable cost. Monsterella Plush Art is one of them and they have super cute plushies that will surely appreciated by your kiddie guests! Here is a link to their FB Page
8. Handmade Bags – The owner takes pride in handcrafting their products, and they are really cute and nice. Customizable too depending on your event’s theme! Check out Pop Junk Love’s Customizable Hand-Sewn Bags in their Facebook Page here.
9. Custom Printed Pillow – So posh and fluffy is this giveaway, I am sure your guests will truly appreciate. Check out Fabrika MNL’s newest offering – custom printed pillow that could –as the name suggests – be customized according to your event’s theme! Check out their FB Page here for your inquiries.
10. Traditional Loot Bag Toys – Simple and fun toys like a bottle of bubbles, matchbox cars, glow in the dark figures and shapes, plush stickers, stationery and pencils, mini-puzzles, kaleidoscopes, and the like remain to be a hit even among kids nowadays. These can be purchased in any toy store, book store, and of course cheapest at Divisoria, and other DIY Party Supplies Mecca (if you haven’t read my post on where to buy DIY Party supplies then you may read it here ). Always remember it is the thought of making the kiddie guests happy even after the party is what will always count and never the cost of the giveaway or loot bag content. The Happy Meal and Kinder Bueno remain to be a hit all these years because of the simple toy that comes with every package!
You may also want to set up a throwback type of loot bag for your adult guests – this time it has Goya Gold Coins, Fibisco Chocolate Mallows, Bazooka Bubble Gum, White Rabbit (na edible yung wrapper ha!), Tootsie Roll, Swits Orange Candy, Mikmik Milk Powder, Text Cards, Pog, Jackstone, and Plastic Balloon!
So, there you have it. I will be updating this post as I come across more birthday party lootbag content and souvenir ideas in Manila, Philippines. If you have the time, hope you could drop by my Facebook page and hit the like button, so you can receive regular updates from Happypinaymommy.com direct on your newsfeed.

Candy buffets have reached the height of popularity in recent years. It’s really fun for moms, dads, and the kids to create beautiful candy decor perfectly designed for their upcoming birthday party, Halloween party, Christmas party, or any other type of party imaginable for that matter. Plus, this decoration also doubles as an amazing treat for partygoers! So it has a dual purpose and also creates an amazing feeling of nostalgia.
Are you attempting to create your own DIY candy bar in the future? Here’s our checklist of five things for every amazing candy buffet.
The checklist includes:
As you can see, this is a lot to consider when creating a DIY candy buffet. We will explain each section in greater detail right now to give you a better understanding.
Candy Selection
With every DIY candy bar, selecting the candy should be the best, most exciting part of the process! We highly recommend getting the kids involved at this stage of the game. They’ll want to choose their favorite candies for the candy buffet.
When buying candy please consider the following:
Creating Signs
Signs can serve a threefold purpose for your candy buffet.
They can:
Decorate your signs so that they match the candy buffet and make them beautiful additional pieces to this gorgeous candy decor.
Candy Containers
Buying the right candy containers is also another fun part of the candy buffet creation process. You can get cute, attractive, and unique candy jars for just a couple of dollars online or in your favorite thrift stores.
Table Decorations
To truly bring out the beauty of your candy buffet, it’s best to decorate the display table. Mix in colored ornaments and vases around the candy jars and you’ll have a beautiful display that everyone loves.
Accessories
Candy accessories are a must at every good candy buffet. Plastic scoops and tongs to grab candy are a necessity to promote good hygiene. Find them online or at your local thrift or convenience store.
Conclusion
Creating an amazing DIY candy bar doesn’t need to feel impossible or overwhelming. Use this checklist and your next candy buffet creation should go off without a hitch.

]]>The post Where to order Smash Cakes appeared first on Happy Pinay Mommy.
]]>Smash Cakes are just so popular in the recent years, as it is a great props for first birthday photo shoots.
In my humble opinion, any cake could be a smash cake as long as it has some type of icing (butter cream is best according to some photographers), since it will just be smashed anyway! But that is just me and my kuripot self. There is of course nothing wrong if you order custom made ones from your favorite cake maker, or buy from your favorite bakeshop so that in case the baby does not even want to smash it then you can still bring the cake home and eat it with the rest of the familia.
My kids got theirs from bakeshops near our house, I just made sure that their respective cakes match the photoshoot theme of their birthday. Of course I still chose the bakeshop that sells yummy cakes so that we can still bring home the remains of the smash cake that was not too messed up (I know to some of you this is a yucky thought, haha).
Anyway for those of you who are wondering where to order smash cakes for your baby in the Philippines, here is a list of —
1. Supermarket Bakeshops – Every grocery that I frequent to has a grocery bakeshop, where you can buy affordable cakes in different sizes. They may not taste as great as the cakes from specialty or mainstream cake shops but it will definitely serve the purpose of just getting smashed! Prices can start at P125.00 for a small one, and they usually have simple designs and happy colors. Supermarkets that have grocery bakeshops include S & R, Rustan’s, Shopwise, SM Supermarkets, and the now (sadly) burnt Shoppersville Bakeshop.
2. Mainstream Bakeshops – Bakeshops like Red Ribbon and Goldilocks are bakeshops that can deliver generic cakes to your home which can be used as smash cakes. They have enough branches that dot every part of the metro so you can also drive by as needed. Fortune Bakeshop is also yet another bakeshop that sells affordable but nice cakes that can also be used for this purpose. If you want something custom-made then you can also order from them. Prices of round cakes at Red Ribbon start at 330.00 for a small round cake, while a standard round greeting cake from Goldilocks start at P400.00 but they have a cute Rainbow Cake that costs P520.00.
(Post Continued Below)
===========================================================
=======================================================
3. Specialty Bakeshops – These are the cake shops that we love to order from whenever there’s a celebration in the family. So why not hit two birds with one stone by ordering from your favorite cake shop, use it for the smash cake photoshoot, and eat what is left of it if it did not get smashed Bakeshops that I can suggest include: Purple Oven (Chocolate campfire smash cake, anyone?), Estrel’s (dainty and yummy for your little one’s first birthday), Conti’s (No, not the mango bravo – sayang – the Strawberry Shortcake I think would look cute for a strawberry shortcake-themed birthday photoshoot!), The Chocolate Kiss (All White Devil’s Food Cake as against a very nice outdoor background perhaps?), Miss Polly’s (Brown Derby could be a great choice) and many more. Go shoot, then go eat!
4. J. Cuppacakes – Makes super adorable, and delicious cakes which can be used as smash cakes for your baby. You can choose from their suggested line-up or order a custom made one! They have a shop in SM Jazz, Makati along Jupiter and N. Garcia, and they have a kiosk in SM Megamall. Here’s a link to their FB Page.
5. Sweet Mamita – Mommies from the South here’s one online cake shop worth trying. They make super yummy cakes that are fab and happy at very reasonable prices! For baby girls you may want to consider their giant 3D floral cupcake as smash cake. They can also customize cakes for you! Here’s a link to their FB Page.
6. Sweet Indulgence by Rika – Owned by a fellow Work-at-Home-Mom, Sweet Indulgence by Rika custom bakes cakes that can also be used as smash cakes! We earlier featured Mommy Rika in our Work From Home Mom of the Week, as well as in Our Lactation Cookies article as she also bakes some for nursing moms! Here’s a link to her online bakeshop.
So, there you have it. I will be updating this post as I come across more bakeshops that can make smash cakes in Manila, Philippines. If you have the time, hope you could drop by my Facebook page and hit the like button, so you can receive regular updates from Happypinaymommy.com direct on your newsfeed.

]]>The post Baptismal Souvenir Tokens for Godparent Ninongs and Ninangs appeared first on Happy Pinay Mommy.
]]>Ninongs and Ninangs are undoubtedly the VIPs in a Christening ceremony. As God parents of the child, they carry a huge responsibility in their shoulders as they will help the parents raise God-fearing children, and at the same time accept the role of being the second parent of the child.
In Filipino Christening or binyags (and even weddings) it is customary to give a special token or gift to the ninongs and ninangs especially since they are no ordinary guests.
If you are still at a loss as to what token to give to your baby’s ninongs and ninangs this post is for you.
Here is happypinaymommy’s list of —
1. Massage oils — we all need to relax, and choosing nicely packaged massage oils could just be an apt thank you gift for your close friends whom you’ve chosen to become your baby’s godparents. Check out this Massage oil from Faith.Hope.Love. Here is a link to their FB Page
2. Personalized Notepads — if most of your child’s God parents are you or your husband’s officemates then this could just be a great gift for them. Stay at home moms will equally appreciate it! Check out these Name Garland Notepads from PAPELito. It can come in various sizes available in 3×4, 4×5 and 5×8 notepad or any combination. Here is a link to their FB Page.

3. Succulents. I will never get tired of recommending succulents as gift items simply because they are nice to look at, gives off positive vibes, improves indoor air quality in the home or office, and are generally nice to look at. Check this past post on this to get the list of online and physical stores that sell succulents for giveaways.

]]>I have recently written about restaurants and fastfood chains with kiddie party packages in the Philippines, and I have realized that kiddie parties and christening receptions may require a different type of venue.
And although parents can always celebrate their child’s christening in fastfood restaurants, some families may want to have a reception somewhere more subdued.
Here’s a list of happypinaymommy’s –
1. Romulo’s Cafe— if you are not expecting a really huge group for your kid’s christening reception then why not hold it at Romulo’s. The food is great, their venue in Jupiter Street in Makati is nice and most of all you can order lechon too. They also have a branch in the Tomas Morato area. Here is a link to their FB Page for your inquiries. The Manager over at Jupiter is very accommodating. Churches that are accessible to this venue include St. Andrew’s and Sacred Heart.
2. J. Cuppacakes –– Is one great venue also in the Jupiter street area. The catch though is that you can only accommodate I think less than 30 guests or you can always have the whole restaurant closed for your event (yes they are welcome to that idea) check out their FB page here for party information. The cakes are nice and superb, the staff are friendly, the venue is nice and the food is great. The owners are super hands-on too like Julianne and her mom personally answer the emails and they coordinate with the clients. They are flexible with the cake designs too! Churches that are near J. Cuppacakes include St. Andrew’s and Sacred Heart.
3. Gloria Maris — If you prefer Chinese dishes then look no further than Gloria Maris. They have banquet halls that can be used for various functions including Christening. Here’s a link to their FB Page.
(Post continued below)
====================================================================
=========================================
4. Stacy’s — is a great place too for more subdued parties like christening receptions and baby showers. They have branches in The Fort and then in Capitol in QC. Churches that are near their QC branch include Sta. Maria Dela Strada in Katipunan, Parish of the Holy Sacrifice inside UP, and St. Peter’s Church along Commonwealth Avenue. Here’s a link to their FB Page for your inquiries.
5. Conti’s — some Conti’s restaurants like the one in Greenbelt 2 have a function room that can accommodate intimate to small gatherings. I will no longer mention that cakes and the party food are superb here because it is already a given Here’s a link to their website for your inquiries.
6. Kamayan, Saisaki and Dad’s — it is not generally a quiet or subdued place but it could be a great venue for an after christening party. They have several branches too. Here is a link to their party package info.
7. Milky Way — this has a relatively larger space compared to the other restaurants in our list and again, like conti’s i will no longer elaborate how great the food is here! For those who have yet to dine here they have great Kare-kare and superb Pinoy dishes that your guests will surely appreciate. It is located along Pasong Tamo in Makati. Their function rooms can accommodate 16, 45, and up to 100 guests respectively. Nearest church here is Don Bosco. Here’s a link to their website.
8. Max’s Restaurant-– is a Filipino institution already for baptismal receptions. They have the following inclusions in their Baptismal party package: Two (2) hours use of venue, Theme Cake, Gift for the baby, Free use of bassinet, Decorated Party Area , Party Balloons, Balloon Centerpieces, Welcome Banner, Invitations Cards, Guest Book with Pen, and Party Hosting. Check out their webpage here.
9. Mom and Tina’s Restaurant – Is yet another cozy reception venue that is known for happy comfort food. Their venues can usually accommodate intimate gatherings of about 30 people for their Pasig and South Triangle branches. The set-up is usually for buffet, and the price per head from P700.00 to P960.00. They are however strict when it comes to set-ups as they “do not allow bringing in of food, beverages, desserts, cakes, food giveaways, and candy buffets.” Here is a link to their official webpage.
So there you have it. I will be updating this post as I come across more restaurants that are great as Christening reception venue. Fastfood and Restaurants with kiddie birthday party packages

]]>The post Fastfood and Restaurants with kiddie birthday party packages appeared first on Happy Pinay Mommy.
]]>Kiddie parties can be stressful in general, and it is always a good thing if the whole family can just book a venue altogether, choose a theme, cake and decor and even lootbag and just come back on your child’s birthday.
Even better is that parents can usually just sit back or focus on entertaining the guests and have fun too while the restaurant crew takes care of everything from the food, the serving, the hosting and the games, and then most important of all — the clean up! They can even load all the gifts your kids got plus left overs to your car.
So before i get carried away, here’s a list of Philippine restaurants and fastfood chains that have kiddie birthday party packages.
1. Mc Donald’s — There’s always a special place in the heart of a child (and a child at heart) for the Happy Meal! Most parties i have attended in McDo are simply fun and enjoyable — they have quite entertaining party hosts too! Check out their food packages here. As of publication of this post they have the following themes: Ben 10, AdventureTime, Winx, and Spongebob Squarepants. Their party meals range from P150-190 per guest, and the party package inclusions are: Use of Party Room, Full Hosting, Party amenities, Games and 30 prizes, 1 gift for the celebrant, an appearance by Grimace, Hamburglar or Birdie.
2. Jollibee — most toddlers know Ja’bee and who wouldn’t recognize the big red bee that dances in the kiddie parties? The good news is you can do the booking, the choosing, and the paying online so there is less hassle especially for moms who just can leave their home or work. They have four themes as of posting and this includes Hello Kitty, Jollitown, Jollibee’s FUN-Tastic Factory, and then their Christening- themed party. Party fee starts at P1500 with a minimum guests of up to 30 pax. Here is a link to their online party booking page.
3. Burger king – Does not offer an outright kiddie party package but for P10,000.00 worth of meals you can already use a part of their restaurant as your party venue. This is perfect for moms who want to have flexible party arrangements, and would like to go the DIY route. Check out their FB page here.

]]>One of the concerns of most parents who are about to have their baby christened is the Baptismal Souvenirs that they will give away to their guests.
There are tons of ideas out there, and it can get overwhelming really. There are a lot of considerations in choosing for Baptismal souvenirs, and apart from matching the theme, it should of course fit the budget, and for me – it should be practical. Practical in a sense that it would not just get tossed by the guests as soon as they come home from your party.
After attending too many binyag and dedication parties in the Philippines, and seeing a lot of possible souvenir items out there, here are some of my suggested –
1.Succulents – Giving out succulents is somewhat cool, and of course, can be useful as a plant décor in your guest’s home or office. It is not so expensive too as it can go as low as P40.00 each in Dangwa. For those who may not have the time to brave the traffic to that part of Manila, then it may be best to just order online – after all some stores can customize a greeting and a label for each pot. Check out my past post on this to get the list of online and physical stores that sell succulents for giveaways. Below meanwhile is a photo of one of the souvenirs that Go Green Giveaways supply to their clients. Check out their FB Shop here.
2. Baby Cologne Spray – This is fun and fab especially when nicely packaged like this one from Provence Fragrances. Of course clients get to choose the scent and according to Provence Fragrances, their clients often choose kiddie scents for kid-related events such as baptism and first and seventh birthdays. The kiddie scents match the sticker label which has a theme/design related to kids, price range is usually around P40.00 to P60.00 per bottle. Here is a link to their FB Shop.
3. Scented candles on a jar or tin — These are welcome gifts for me as it is always relaxing to light up a candle during stressful days. Check out Party Favors PH’s FB shop here.
(Post continued below)
===========================================================
=========================================
4. Hand sanitizers — talk about useful stuff, this one will surely be used up by your guests especially if you were able to choose a generic clean scent that they will like. You can do a DIY hand sanitizer here, or go the hassle-free route and order from various suppliers out there like The Gift Corner. The gift corner can feature the name of your child and then the date of his christening in front, and then some of his stats at the back portion of the bottle. Price range is at P25.00 to P40.00 per piece with a minimum order of 30 pieces. Clients have five scents to choose from and they can request for the color of the gel that will be used for the sanitizer. Check out their FB Page here.
5. Kiddie stool — it may be too big for your guests to lug around but hey most parents say they have been able to use it at home as well — kiddie stools or stools for home service manicuristas (haha very titas of manila). One of the highly recommended suppliers is Handicrafts Atbp you may check out their FB Shop here. I canvassed from different stores and the price range usually for mini stools is at around P90.00 to P95.00 apiece and then a bigger kiddie stool at around P185.00 per piece.
6. Anything on a mason jar — yes, the mason jar is useful already to begin with now put in something sweet and yummy, then that will be a great giveaway to bring home. Some put candies, color coordinated jellies or mallows, cookies or what have yous in the jar and tie it up with a cool ribbon and piece of cloth to match the event’s color motif. Check out my past post on where to buy mason jars and candies for candy buffet if and when you will allow yourself to be bitten by the DIY bug. Do not forget to find ribbons in this past post too!
7. Personalized Mini Pillows — you can always give out pillows to your guests. These are usually useful in the car or even in the home. Just be mindful of the design so it is important to commission a supplier who can create that fab token for your guests. Try Mommy Grace of Imprints. Price range is at P90.00 to P150.00 depending on the design.
8. Rosary or Rosary Bracelet— I have attended a lot of catholic christening parties that give out rosaries as souvenirs. This one from Party Favors PH looks lovely.
If you want a nice rosary bracelet, then you may want to check this out from E Clay Souvenirs and Accessories.
9. Polymer Clay Refrigerator Magnets— are cute and functional, and would definitely be a happy souvenir to take home coming from a party. Look at these adorable magnet giveaways from E Clay Souvenirs and Accessories Price range is at P55.00 to P200.00 per piece depending on the complexity of the design. Check out their FB Shop here.
So, there you have it. I will be updating this post as I come across more binyag party souvenir ideas. If you have the time, hope you could drop by my Facebook page and hit the like button, so you can receive regular updates from Happypinaymommy.com direct on your newsfeed.

]]>The post Where to buy Supplies for DIY Candy Buffets in the Philippines appeared first on Happy Pinay Mommy.
]]>More and more moms are becoming practical nowadays that they try DIY projects for their children’s stuff (like cloth diapers, wipes, accessories), and even supplies like Fabcons – I wrote about it here, and even detergents etc.
Parties of course are a huge expense especially if your family is the type to hold big events. A cost-efficient method is to resort on DIY for some aspects of the party – or for more adventurous and crafty mommies – DIY the whole party itself.
I earlier wrote about where to find DIY Party Supplies (read it here), and I have monitored that it is one of my widely read posts. Now I am giving you a more specific blog entry that deals with one dainty, fun, and yummy aspect of any family event – The Candy Buffet!
So for mommies out there who are doing a DIY on their little tot’s candy buffet, here is –
1. S & R – S & R stores can provide your needs for chocolates and sweets. Here you can find big packs of imported chocolates, candies, and gummy stuff kids usually like. Check out their website here for their branches. If you are not a member, you can ask any member-friend to tag you along!
2. Chocolate Lovers – Where else can you find all those sweet and yummy treats sans the packaging that you will not need but at Chocolate Lovers? They have a branch in Cubao, for inquiries and directions to the store here is a link to their website.
(Post continued below)
====================================================================
===========================================================
3. Sweet Craft – If you live near the Shaw Boulevard area then go to Sweet Craft, it is near Dansalan Gardens and yes you can find a lot of baking needs, as well as candies and sweets for your candy buffet. Here’s their FB Page.
4. Online and Brick-and-Mortar Baking Supplies Stores – If you have a baking supplies store in your neighborhood, then better check it out because they will be selling those sweets you can readily put on your candy jars! They also have the gummy jellies, candy coated chocolates, the works basically. They will most likely have online shops to like Bakers’ Basket Baking Supplies (apart from the sweets they have all those dainty items and decors that you will need), Little MJ Baking and Party Supplies (also for those dainty stuff for the candy buffet).
5. Divisoria – Well you have to be discerning about this if and when you will decide to source chocolates and sweets here – as you know there are unscrupulous sellers that may sell counterfeit candies and chocolates, or even expired goods. I am not saying this is the case in all of the stores in the area, but we better be mindful about all these especially since candy buffets attract children the most. What I can tell you though is that you can get supplies for the candy buffet table here like the jars, decorations, liners and the like. Special mention for the famous Tabora Street, and Lucky Chinatown Mall.
6. Dapitan Arcade – If you are looking into nice jars, serving wares and the like then Dapitan Arcade is the place for you. Super affordable prices even for unique pieces! After the party, I’m sure you can reuse the wares you’ve bought from here in all your other events, or even as your home decor.
7. Department Stores – You will be surprised because tiered plates and nice jars and other stuff you may use in your candy spread are also available in your nearest department stores. Just be more imaginative! Department stores you ay want to check out include Robinson’s Department Store Galleria Branch, SM Makati, and Landmark Makati.
8. UPDATED MAY 13, 2016: Sugar and Spice Manila — If you want Pinterest-style sweets wrapped in fancy papers, the head to Sugar and Spice Manila’s FB shop, and let your mind be dazzled with the many wrapping designs and yummy sweets they have to offer. Check out their page here.
9. UPDATED JUNE 23, 2016: Joshua Gummies: I have come across a lot of Moms who made their DIY candy buffet with supplies coming from this FB Shop, so you may wanna check them out. They have gummies, jellies, pika pika, and more importantly packages for DIY candy buffets if you do not want to get bothered with thinking of candy combinations. Here is a link to their FB shop.
10. UPDATED June 23, 2016: Candy Corner PH: Remember those stalls we try so hard to avoid when we go out in the mall with the kids in tow? Yes you can shop online via their website, plus they can even have party carts for you or make the DIY Canddy buffet for your child’s party altogether! Absolutely no hassle on your part, so if you’ve got the extra moolah for it then might as well get them as your supplier. Here is a link to their website.
11. UPDATED: August 4, 2016: MaraElla’s Party Supplies Store — If you are from Cebu then this may be the Candy Buffet Supplies Shop that you should be ordering from to also save up on shipping fees! They have gummies, chocolates, and other sweets that can fill your DIY Candy Buffet Jars and Serving Wares. Check out their FB Store here.

]]>Parties are fun, but it could be very expensive. And this is why most moms who would like to save up on their children’s parties would want to try the DIY or Do-it-yourself route in some (or all) aspects of the party they are throwing.
There are many places where you could buy DIY Party Supplies in the Philippines. In Manila for instance, Divisoria is the most common bagsakan area where you really could buy everything you would have wanted for your DIY Party in Manila at a super cheap cost.
But not all moms have the time and energy to trek to Divi. So for those moms this post is for you.

That is why when I say a box of mason jars in a mall outlet near our place I grabbed a box, and made use of the many jars in there for our drinks, salads, soups (for serving-sized portions), our kitchen supplies, make ahead meals in serving sizes, cooking oil for recycling and the like.
Before I get carried away, I will be giving you already the list of where you can buy mason jars in the Philippines. These stores could either be physical stores,or could be online as well.

]]>If you are already planning out the christening or baptism of your baby then this post is for you.
I earlier wrote about the baptismal requirements for Catholics in the Philippines in this post, and we know that the next question is where to buy the outfit or baptismal gown.
I was lucky because Mamita sent a Christening gown for Achi to wear many years ago, since we were able to preserve it, we just have it dry cleaned as needed and it has been passed on to shobe and all.
Anyway, for those looking for baptismal gowns —
1. Department Stores — Rustan’s has a great selection of baptismal gowns for you to choose from. If you want something more affordable but still nice then you may head to bigger SM department stores like SM Makati and SM Megamall for better choices. My ex-officemate J, meantime swears by Landmark Makati when it comes to affordable yet fab formal wear for babies and kids so you may want to check it out too.
2. Mothercare — their bigger stores have more choices, and I think I saw some at their BGC branch and in Greenbelt 5.
(Post Continued Below)
——————————————————————————————————————————-
——————————————————————————————————————————-
3. Baclaran — My friend, D, runs to Baclaran for just about anything. And she says if you have an eye for fab designs then you can just land in Baclaran a more affordable version of the one you saw at the mall. She says the christening gowns here has the same quality as those in the department stores at less than half the price! The stalls are just in the periphery of the Baclaran Church, so after paying a visit, why not shop around?
4. Lazada — if you do not want to be bothered by the epic traffic situation then Lazada is your best bet. They have these cute little buy christening outfits that are quite cheap like this baby tuxedo set, which you can buy here for P999.00. They have quite a few gowns like this chiffon dress, which you can buy here for just P800.00.
5. Baobao babies — this FB store has traditional christening gowns that are on hand. The prices range from P2,800 to P3K++ as of posting. The gowns come with caps and booties. These are really nice and lovely – white and ecru usually. Check out the designs here.
6. Celestina & Co. — if your baby is somewhat older, or if you want a non-traditional gown and just a formal wear for her then this is the online store to go to. I love this shop actually because it makes choosing clothes for babies and young kids a lot easier. They have tons of accessories to. Check out their website here.
7. UPDATED 11/19/2015: Periwinkle — Thanks to my dear friend Mareng H, for letting me know that this shop sells Christening outfits too. Apparently my inaanak, Sophie, wore a Periwinkle Pina Gown during her Christening. She says the range of Christening outfits there are around P2,000.00 at that time. Periwinkle has branches in ATC, all Rustan’s Department Stores, Shangri-la mall, Eastwood, and even in Marquee Mall, plus a host of other bigger and popular malls. They also have an online shopping site through Zalora, here.
8. UPDATED: Sept 03, 2016: Cudsly.com –– This shopping website also has christening and baptismal gowns for both boys and girls. Check out the selection here.
9. UPDATED: Sept 03, 2016: Shopee.ph — Find brand new and pre-loved baptismal and Christening gowns in this new shopping and selling site. Download their mobile app via the app store or google play, or shop from their website here.
