Daily devotional: Beyond the walls

Let us not allow disappointments to destroy our faith, douse our hope, and distract us from following Christ. Let us instead focus on God’s redemptive kindness in our lives, and keep holding on to His words and promises.

Psalm 100:5
Psalm 100:5

“For the Lord is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations.” Psalm 100:5

Facing failure

When faced with failures, may we remember the many times He has helped us in the past. May we not forget how He restored what we have lost to sinfulness. The uncountable instances He chose to love and bless us even when we were still disobedient Him, and have yet to follow His ways.

“Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him! For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!” Romans 5:9-10

Let us not allow the walls in front of us, to keep us from looking up to Him. May we not be discouraged from casting our worries and fears to Him who truly cares and loves us.

Thank you for reading our devotional today. Kindly read Romans 5:7-11 for a deeper dive into our topic.

Reflection Question: Do you feel like you are hitting a wall, or keep on seeing closed doors in this season in your life. How can looking up to the Lord, give you the hope, and the faith that God sees you and will help you in time?

Conversation with the Lord: Heavenly Father, thank you that nothing can hinder us from looking up to you. And that when we do, we can truly depend on you because in you we can endure. In you, we can truly live with hope. Amen.
