Daily devotional: Sign of Strength

Our choice to depend on God does not mean we are weak. Our full dependence on Him does not equate to weakness. Instead, it shows our greatest strength because we have come to know our real source of
power, security and sense of identity.

Psalm 73:26
Psalm 73:26

“My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” Psalm 73:26

Because when we choose to fully depend on the One who can do it all, and decide to follow His will in our lives, His grace will be sufficient to carry us through whatever challenges we face.

“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9

When we choose to rely on His strength and not on our own, we will realize that we are not doing life alone because we have Him by our side. And though things do not get rosy immediately after every prayer or bible reading time, we know in our hearts that we are never alone or abandoned. That in His perfect time, He will perfectly address our situation, and it will turn out for the best.

Thank you for reading our devotional today. Kindly read Proverbs 3:5-6 for a deeper dive into our topic.

Reflection Question: When facing life difficulties, do you choose to rely on your own strength or do you look to God to power you through your struggles? How does human might fall short of God’s strength when it comes to enduring life difficulties?

Conversation with the Lord: Heavenly Father, thank you that your grace is sufficient for us to overcome our struggles. Thank you you help us endure, and you guide us through our difficulties. Grant us the
confidence to continue hoping in you. Amen.
