God-honoring friendships are always awe-inspiring, amazing. When we
share our joys with a genuine friend, our gladness multiplies. When we
share our grief, the piercing pain is divided, lessened to a degree.
“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their
labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up.”
Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
Once we find a friend we can journey with as we follow Jesus, let us
do our best to keep it, stick with it, and honor it. Let us make
Christ the center of our bond, by seeking Him and His word, and
worshipping Him together.
“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and
good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit
of doing, but encouraging one another” Hebrews 10:24-25
Indeed, such friendships are worth sticking to. It can only come from
a Creator who values relationship, community, and love for another.
“I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his
master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything
that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.” John 15:15

Conversation with the Lord: Heavenly Father, thank you for blessing me
with a God-honoring friendship. I know not everyone has a blessing
like this, and so may you give me the grace to stick with it, so that
me and my friend can continue honoring and following you together.
