I usually remember to cook easy arroz a la cubana when our saging na saba at home are becoming overripe already. You see I usually buy a bunch on a weekly basis because the kids love fried bananas for merienda, and boiled saba is a great on-the-go snack, quick tummy filler, and of course a good school baon.
What is great about arroz a la cubana is that it is also a cost-effective breakfast or lunch meal. Why, you ask? Because you can cook it for more of less P100.00 for a family of two adults and two grown children.
