Sharing with you ladies another simple and easy recipe — super easy baked pork belly. I usually serve Baked Pork Belly with a side of kimchi because of the great flavor contrast. Atchara will be good as well.

For newbie cooking mamas who may want to know how to cook this simple lunch meal, here’s a rough procedure:

EASY BAKED LIEMPO

1. Pre-boil/tenderize pork belly slices for at least 20 to 30 minutes. Add a bit of pepper in the water or if you want you can add laurel leaves.
.
2. While the liempo is boiling, you can now make your basting mixture. Add 1 cup banana ketchup, 2 spoons brown sugar, 2 spoons liquid seasoning or light oyster sauce, 1 spoon sesame oil, bit of pepper. Mix and adjust according to your taste.
.
3. Once the liempo is done, baste with the sauce, and bake in a pre heated oven on 350 degrees for about 20 minutes. Halfway through the baking flip the belly and baste once again.
.
4. When the liempo is done, sprinkle with roasted sesame seeds. Serve immediately with kimchi.
