As breastfeeding moms, we are often told by our elders and other experienced moms that soup will help us make more milk.
And based on my experience, it really helps! Apart from helping with milk production, it also helps comfort our tired and sleepy bodies especially during the newborn stage when we do not get too much sleep.
Here are some Filipino soup recipes for Breastfeeding:
1. Chicken Tinola – a hands-down favorite for nursing moms like me. It is easy to cook. Just add more malunggay and you are good to go. Check out the recipe here.
2. Nilagang baka — yes i know it takes so much time to get it really tender but hey it is worth it! So take out your pressure cookers because there is no shame in taking shortcuts! Here is a recipe you may wanna check out.
3. Kansi – i admit that this is kinda weird at first as it is a toss between bulalo and sinigang but it is equally comforting after a few sips. Check out this ilonggo recipe here.
